CPO#4 The old Golden
So yes, there are always fragrances with an "aha" effect from Al Rehab as well as from other Arabian fragrance manufacturers. But the expectations never match what you get, with very few exceptions. With Golden, I have once again found a fragrance that exceeds my expectations.
But let's start from the beginning.
Golden Perfume Oil starts with a note that I actually attribute to vintage women's fragrances, aldehydes, flowers, subtle sweetness. But then, after not too long, a beautiful woody note creeps in, which, together with the powdery note, turns the floral beginning into a unisex fragrance, but the floral tones remain present in the background.
This woody-powdery note is increasingly joined by a beautiful, natural-looking vanilla note, which, however, does not appear exaggerated or too feminine, but now forms a whole with the floral notes.
Overall, Golden is currently the most unisex fragrance I have. On the one hand, the floral, vanilla and powdery notes are always on the feminine side, but the tartness of the wood also makes it easy to wear for men with a penchant for powdery fragrances. It is definitely reminiscent of retro fragrances in the style of Brut Eau de Toilette or Background Eau de Toilette without wanting to compare Golden with them in terms of content, but both fragrances mentioned are powdery and yet fougere-like and are not necessarily only worn by men.
Cobra Perfume Oil
is also a good example of a really well-made fragrance, but I actually only see it on women, as it lacks something distinctive, at least for me, and is more reminiscent of Poison or Jil Sander No.4.
As for the longevity, I can only say Chapeau Al Rehab, you rarely let your guard down here.
The oil is quite light and fortunately, like many other oriental fragrances, does not stain.
