Originally, the Japanese artist was known as a painter. When her partner Kemal came into her life, she sold her first articles for the care and wellness sector in her "Bazaar des Senteurs", in addition to candles she made herself. Keiko Mecheri quickly advanced from an insider tip to a sought-after artist. Finally, she turned her attention entirely to fragrance compositions, which have been offered under the label "Les Parfums Keiko Mecheri" since 1997.
With each fragrance, Keiko Mecheri takes the wearer on a journey through a unique universe of scents. The Japanese designer draws inspiration from her own experiences, historical novels and historical designs. Keiko Mecheri herself describes her fragrances as "artisanal, transgressive and dedicated to precious and rare ingredients, yet at the same time modern and elegant."
The fragrances, now based out of Beverly Hills, CA, consist of several collections. For example, "Les Eaux Tendres" is considered particularly delicate, "Les Soliflores" is emphatically exotic and fruity, "Mihimè" contains flowers (roses, narcissus), ylang-ylang oil, vanilla and musk, and the "Les Hesperidés" series is considered refreshing due to roses, lemons and jasmine. Judging by the popularity, especially the creations "Le Trio de Loukhoum", "Hanae", "Peau de Pêche" and "Oliban" stand high in the favor of followers.
Almost without exception, Keiko Mecheri's fragrances and aromas are offered in plain black flacons with a gold band around the neck. Only the collection "Le Trio de Loukhoum" got a specially designed bottle, reminiscent of a lock of hair or a drop.
