Beautiful example of its type

A lovely cologne. Not so strong as to be abrasive, not so wispy as to disappear within minutes. Not at all falling into the same-y basket of almost-clones that this type of fragrance often unfortunately seems to.

Best for warm weather or moments when you are wishing for the same. The price is excellent as well.

simple summer cooler

For several years, I've been curious about the new 4711 colognes, and I'm happy to say that one of the US online discounters is now stocking several of them. I got a 170 ml (5.7 oz)tester of this one for a bit over $20 US and it was well worth it.

This is not a complex scent at all, but it's perfect for summertime refreshment. It brings me back to my mom's herb garden in my childhood, where she would grow lemon balm (melissa), with its sweetly fuzzy oval leaves. It's enlivening but not wince-inducing as lemon juice can be.

When it's really hot and I'm trying to concentrate, I'll spray this 8 or 10 times around my neck and shoulders and find myself in a clean, attentive state, ready to work.
