A sweet pithy lemon with watery note and ginger.
It's not bad, but isn't really a hot weather spritz as ginger is warming and not cooling.
Beware of the white musk!
May have been better as a drink flavour.

Disapointing

I love lemon and all aspects of ginger in both perfume and culinary use, so I was quite surprised when I disliked this fragrance. I couldn't discern either note and even though the price is reasonable, it is not worth even that much. Disappointing .

This little slut.

Well, refreshing and invigorating, yes, that's probably it. And for that, it does almost everything. So, superficially.
These young citrus things; loud, squeaky, peppy, always right up front, always in the first row. Dumb, naive, shrill, and unsatisfied, a real WHOO Girl!

Ginger could help, but it doesn’t. Probably too stupid for the whole thing.
Whether one-dimensionality prevails, we will see; maybe, but then certainly only for a short time. (about 30 minutes.)

I use ACLG when once again underprivileged, pitying sufferers, or also, people for whom personal care is a foreign word because they missed being taught it, in their wood sawing workshops, after their kiosk visit, as a welcome room fragrance.

Depth? No way. Slut? Wrong expression, not dirty enough.

Small.

Fresh as a Fish? The Simple Ginger-Lemon from the Traditional Cologne Makers Doesn’t Work for Me

The traditional house 4711 has been offering a wide range of light colognes with a variety of scent notes for a good decade. In the Colognes of the Acqua Colonia line, usually only 2 or 3 notes are combined. Minimalism instead of complexity. This approach doesn’t have to be flat or boring, as the wonderful Acqua Colonia Lime-Nutmeg demonstrates. However, here we are talking about lemon plus ginger - and I’m not so fond of the result.

I really enjoy ginger with fish, in vegetables, and in tea. Lemon in tea, with vegetables, on fish, and in gin? I think it’s great! One would assume that combining these two fresheners would also adorn and refresh people in a summery way. However, the result is not terrible, but it’s also not great. The lemon here reminds my nose (and whatever else is hanging on up north) unfortunately of some cleaning products. And the ginger comes across as a bit muggy and rather dull than fresh and sharp.
Admittedly: Strong lemon top notes are often problematic for me; mandarins, oranges, limes, and yuzu more easily elicit a cheer from me.

For example, the highest-rated of all Artisan Parfumeurs on Parfumo, L‘Eau du Caporal, is rarely used by me because it takes a full 3 hours for the sharp, aggressive, and enduring lemon to calm down, and the very beautiful and balanced base continues to work for another 4 hours. The classic Spanish lemon bomb from 1912, Agua de Colonia Concentrada from the house of Alvarez Gomez, opens similarly forcefully - but doesn’t last as long as the heavy water of the French Force de frappe. I have so far regarded it more as a curiosity than something I use regularly.

In contrast to these heavy lemons, the 4711 Ginger-Lemon is much weaker. It projects only subtly and lasts only about 2 hours close to the skin. In this sense, it is a simple cologne, without the endurance that the Cardamom-Mandarin or the Lime-Nutmeg, crafted by Geza Schön as Acqua Colonia for the same house, have been trained (or synthetically underpinned) to possess.

4711 Lemon-Ginger is dispensable for me as a cologne. Or should one perhaps try it (inspired by the confused ideas of another nuclear power president) in salad or tea for internal disinfection?
