Funny, funny...
... contrary to the impressions that some of my previous commentators have, I actually like this Aqua as an EdC. I can't really notice a significant development either, but for me, the EdC starts off fresh and I can clearly recognize the grapefruit. This bitter-fresh scent can definitely be described as citrusy, but not lemony. With the other colognes from 4711 in this series, I had the impression that they sometimes smell artificial. Especially Lemon-Ginger was really not my thing. Just simple lemon.
I much prefer the sweet fruitiness of the orange mixed with the bitterness of the pomelo. I find it hard to judge Pink Pepper, but I do like using pink pepper in the kitchen...
So, I actually went into the kitchen to get the pink peppercorns and test them straight. Not spicy, more savory-floral and mild in taste. Yes, that sounds about right ;-)! For me, the scent has nothing musty or heavy about it, but is a straightforward, "finer" scent due to the pepper berries. It conveys freshness to me, but has nothing piercing, rather it develops (if one can speak of that) into a soft freshness.
Somewhere I once read that the scent of Pink Grapefruit is supposed to make you younger. I don't know if this grapefruit is of the pink variety, but at my age, one has to pay attention to the little things. The word "pink" does appear in the fragrance pyramid after all. That's something.
And now I hurry grapefruit-pink-peppered with youthful steps into the kitchen and put away the pepper berries. "Pink" and "Grapefruit" can stay.

I feel really youthful with this scent right away ;-). Unfortunately, it only smells very faintly and for a relatively short time on me. But right after spraying it, it's just amazing!!!

Nothing strange here - it’s just good, you’ve got it right! :-)

That's exactly how the scent is on my skin! I love a bit of spice in perfumes. Blood Orange & Basil from the same line is great too.
