Bottle, Juice and Package QC- rather disappointing
Light, silky, oud, very sweet to my nose (I' d say syrupy) .
Not overwhelming. Just like the Safari Extreme, it's a quality blend, the notes transition smoothly one into another, and complement each other. Balanced
Projection is ok,not gonna overwhelm people and yourself
Longevity on my skin is a bit over 3 hours (for my skin, it' s a lot) .
On the clothes I end up smelling it 1 day after washing them.
3 Sprays are enough.
I see it unisex, but leaning more to masculine.
Age group, early to mid 20 's, discovering quality perfumes.

Worth the price? Like all Al Qurashi perfumes in Europe, the price tag is big, but the perfume quality justifies part of it.
I can recommend it to anyone searching for a tamed, quality oud bottle.

After letting it sit for a few months, I noticed I need to increase the sprays to 5, and it faints off after 2 hours. Maybe a bad batch, but rather dissapointing.

Divine oud
I really love Khashab al oud. Dry oud with a little bit of spices and florals here and there. I smell a fruity nuance... like red apple. Very woody scent. It's never daring as most of ouds around. Everything is so round and well blended. It's heavenly.
But I have to say that I'm disappointed about its performance. Considering that it's mainly a mix of woods and oud (high quality btw), it lacks of depth, almost 0 projection and longevity is average, which is weird for an oud base fragrance. Don't get me wrong, It smells incredible and refined, but I miss the typical strong middle eastern character in this one. I have to overspray it to really enjoy it. Low oil concentration to be an EDP maybe.

Presentation is outstanding.

Even though it could be a "mass appealing" oud I would wear it just for personal enjoyment due to the weak performance on my skin.

Classic Arabian Gem of Perfume
Khasab Al Oud by ASQ is a truly unique pure Oud-based perfume made with the finest Aged Agarwood and other natural ingredients. One of Best Oud Blends Perfumes, This is a Classic Arabian Gem of Perfume which blends Ancient Culture with Modern and it is perfect for Daytime wear and Office environments.

The fragrance winds down into a Beautiful and Sweet and Aged & Pure Oud and Sandalwood base.

V similar to ASQ's Dahn Al Aoud Ateequ which is strong compared Kashab Al-Oud has lower concentration of Oud and thus may be more wearable for those who have had limited prior experience with perfumes containing pure Oud. Still, Kashab's Oud is real, which will yield a far different wearing experience from the Western mainstream "Oud" perfumes which contain little if any pure Oud. In fact, inside every bottle of Kashab Al Aoud are several Agarwood pieces to remind you that this is the Real "Stuff". Smells Exotic Luxury & Sweet.

Projection & Performance is Excellent & it gels well with Musk of ASQ as i use this combination once in a while apart from directly applying it. One of the Best Oud based Scents. Bottle & Presentation is V Good, Sprayer pours decent amount of Juice

My Rating is 4.5 out of 5.

Very helpful Review 0
And sometimes things turn out differently than you think...
First of all, I would like to sincerely thank you for the sample that was presented to me as Bois d Oud. I had to research that this fragrance is called "Khashab Al-Oud"; however, it seems to be all the same.

During my research, I came across a wonderful description from a foreign seller on the bay. "High Quantity Perfumes"; that's what it's called. I think something else was meant; but at least you get 100ml of fragrance for a hefty sum ;). But do you get not only "Quantity," but also Quality?

I have smelled some of Abdul Samad Al Qurashi's creations that truly impressed me. These were primarily more or less pure substances. Black musk or ambergris, both not really cheap, but also truly high quality.

Now, it should be mentioned that Al Qurashi is probably one of the most well-known perfumers (as far as I know) from the Far East.

"Khashab Al-Oud" makes it a bit difficult for me, though. It shows certain similarities to Black Afgano; unfortunately, I have smelled that far too often.

But wait; it changes. The opening overwhelmed me with this dark sweetness; this note that I associate with BA, Cuirs, etc.

But the longer I wait, the more the fragrance distances itself from this association. Now another one comes to mind; but please, no one should take this seriously, as I last smelled this fragrance years ago: "He Wood Rocky Mountain Wood".

Dark, but very woody. No, for me there is no Oud at all. Like a good, old wooden barrel, with a pleasant, subtle sweetness. Something remains from the unpleasant and overly long-lasting opening, but it is now really pleasant.

I really like the base; only the journey there is too cumbersome for me.

I found 100ml on the bay for about €200 without shipping. Not exactly cheap, for a surely not bad fragrance, which I still find too expensive here.

I would never spend that money in my life. This may be because, for me, Black Afgano has almost become mainstream; I no longer really enjoy the fragrance. If my memory of "He Wood Rocky Mountain Wood" is even close to accurate, then there would be a much more widespread (but for me, beautiful) fragrance available for much less.

I also think about what olfactory masterpieces I can get for €200. Be it in Western perfumery, or beautiful attars in Eastern perfumery. For such an amount, in my opinion, there are simply fragrances whose proud beauty makes many scents appear incredibly pale and cheap.

Now I am no longer satisfied with my comment; am I judging the fragrance only based on faded memories and thus comparisons? That would be unfair!

I will try to be completely objective. I find the opening to be slightly synthetic in nature, but not in an unpleasant way. Sweet and dark, like a mix of coffee and Red Bull. Since the latter tastes like dissolved gummy bears to me, I unfortunately can't relate much to the opening.

It stays quite like this for a long time, changing very slowly and almost imperceptibly into a less sweet and significantly woodier note. Now I find the fragrance increasingly beautiful.

Woody, only subtly sweet, almost a bit dry, somewhere opulent, somewhere discreet. Now it has become pleasant.

This neither makes the evaluation easy for me objectively nor subjectively. First yuck, then wow...

Opens with an overdose of eucalyptus that reminds one of harsh laundry detergent. Unfortunately, it doesn't transition into anything else.

It must have smelled like this when Miraculix brewed his magic potion.. a true spice explosion with a rounded sandalwood-oud note!

Oud, Oud, Oud - that's what the fragrance pyramid says. A very mild Oud, completely free of any fecal notes - similar to Black Afgano.
