Nostalgic Roses

I recently treated myself to the secret garden in a travel spray - and titled the comment with fine pink bonbons.

I do enjoy sweets and was satisfied with my purchase.

But now I have acquired a 50 ml bottle as a successor - and now
the scent seems astonishingly different.

Fine pink bonbons no longer float before me - but fine pink roses - in the style of the old Austin roses, which also exude a powdery sweet scent.

These nostalgic roses are at the center - but harmonize well with the clove.
Ambrette seeds feel soft and the vanilla adds a fine sweetness that does not make the scent overly sweet.

Despite my fondness for treats, I much prefer this rose garden.

Romantic strolling in a rose garden.

Or in a wild park - where one meets an "old" love, and together utters the beautiful word "back then."

The top and heart notes are great, but unfortunately, the base is a bit too patchouli-heavy for my taste.
