A journey comes to an end
After more than a year they say goodbye to their island. So they pack their few things and set off on the long journey north.
The mountains are already in sight when they take a break. They stop at the foot of a hill. A procession is on its way to a small church. They follow the smell of incense up through the citrus groves. Wild jasmine grows under the trees.
The church is quite dark. The smoke from the censer is much stronger here than outside. A bewitching smell of incense and labdanum wafts through the nave. Slightly dazed they enter a side aisle and sit down on one of the wooden benches. The singing of the choir seems to come from everywhere.
Suddenly the setting sun shines golden through the leaded windows. A light steel falls on a stone relief directly in front of you.
In the middle is a throne and on it sits the One and looks with wide open eyes at mankind that has reached the end of its earthly days. Around the throne are four terrible beasts; an eagle with a wide open beak and powerful claws, a lion and a bull, both winged with a book in their paws and hooves, and a horned styrax, grinning and with a mischievous wink in his eye. *
But the picture is bathed in such warm light, they are not afraid and a cosy warmth spreads. So they sit for a long time and rest before the journey brings them home for good...

Ambra di Venezia is a spicy and smoky amber scent. It starts fresh with bergamot and orange, which are quickly complemented with frankincense and labdanum. Jasmine is also beautiful to perceive. The citrus notes evaporate and a spicy smoke remains. Green notes are also easily recognizable (Styrax). Soon amber and also wood notes come through, some vanilla and benzoin, only slightly sweet, balsamic and soft. The shelf life is not so great, 3 hours on the skin is fine.
