Lime pie in a nutshell
I love Adolfo Domínguez' Agua Fresca line. The bottles are, to my eyes, beautiful and elegant in their simplicity. And their fragances are quite something.
Lima Tonka resembles Allure Edition Blanche, a lot. It has the same family DNA, so to speak. It's a sharp citrus, but instead of taking a fresh and airy turn (like Bergamota Ámbar does, for example), it is sweet and creamy, by way of its Tonka and sandal notes. It has a kind of lime pie vibe to it; since its citric side becomes sweet and creamy. Like its bottle, Lima Tonka is a very simple smell -to my nose, of course-, but not basic. There's not much to say about its smell, other than that.
I consider Lima Tonka to be a very handsome fragrance, best suited for the spring and maybe summer nights or cold days, since its sweetness might be a bit overwhelming in the high heat. It's classy and elegant, yet simple enough that it can very well be an all rounder in spring. The only scenario I'm not sure it might work is the office, only if you have an authoritative position. Or highly formal occasions. Other than that, it's a jack of all trades.
As to its performance, I know this topic is very relative. That being said, in my experience, it's excellent. It has a good projection range for the first couple of hours. Then, it comes closer to the skin, but can and will be smelt at a conversation's distance. After 4/5 hours, it'll seat on your skin, and will only be noticeable for you and the people who gets close to you. In that phase, you'll get whiffs of it until the 8+ hours range.
If you enjoy Edition Blanche, you'll likely have a good time wearing Lima Tonka. So much so, I consider it a bit redundant to own both, and could easily replace the Chanel if you're on a budget.
I give it a solid 8, overall; that could easily escalate once you take into account it's pricing.
