Caught in the black net...

Lace Noir doesn't make it easy for me.

At the first spray, I thought: Bazinga, this is it, the jasmine bomb I want. Thick and fleshy, the rose works a bit prickly, it smells humid-tropical to me, even quite boozy at the start.
Despite the tuberose, which Roja calls the whore of perfumery, the scent barely skims past Maoam or chewing gum, rather fruity due to the pink pepper. Everything is very thickly sweet. And above or below it, a dark pull. Like a veil.
I immediately think of the South, True Detectives with Matthew M. in terms of vibe, I have young Juliette Lewis in front of me, with her slightly sleazy, lascivious manner, yet naively cunning. Natural Born Killers. "Where is my mind" playing in the background.

The next morning, when the nose opens after waking up and one takes in the scents unblemished, in the shirt there’s a musk mishmash with a hint of coconut, like in the Arabian fragrance oils. Huh? Where is that coming from? What the fuck. I can't explain it.

Sprayed Lace Noir again. Bazinga opener, I’m back in heaven. Now I'm paying attention, I tell you. Ah look, vanilla comes hours later, very subtle. Aha, suddenly this mix again, very gently spicy-vanilla, almost powdery cinnamon with remnants of jasmine-tuberose-fruit plus musk (even if not listed) and it lasts forever.
I don't know if I think that's good or bad. I can't really distinguish any scent notes, the scent picture sounds so intertwined.

Flacon sorted out, can go, I don't want oriental. I wanted to be in the Southern swamp. And yet, I have to spray again and again. This veil is not one, it's a net. (And also the important pole, the little crumb in the tropical humidity that lifts the scent, from which it lives.) I'm right in the middle, due to all the exhausting efforts I've wrapped myself up more and more, and the black widow laughs. Laughs loudly, "Yes girl, your curiosity will drive you mad." Flacon sorted back in.
I don't like this, but apparently I do, this old trigger thing here. Make your own picture, but take your mind with you.

Where is my mind....

I really enjoyed your rollercoaster ride here... I sprayed it on a few hours ago and find it surprisingly good. It's usually not my kind of brand...

I feel the same way. Sometimes I think, no, I don't need it, but then I keep sniffing and can't help myself; it's really lovely. I'm still undecided... Great comment!

In autumn, it must be wonderful. And I don't mind jasmine and tuberose here.

Ah, this jasmine... I still can't decide if I'm a Jasmina (I mean J-A-S-M-I-N, not some washed-out light floral) or not. Nice comment, you get a little trophy for that *grins*

So far, I only know the Petale Noir from the APs (which my nose and I absolutely DO NOT like!). But your description, combined with my previous experience, makes me approach the APs with skepticism.
Definitely a "maybe" award (the scent is either a hit or a miss...)!

oh dear ... so it wasn't the first love at first sight, or was it? ... but I know how that feels too.

I was really looking forward to your fragrance post, especially this one! Tuberose is no problem for me, so the stars were aligned. ;-)) Your comment is spot on, it's an interesting scent with its quirks, but even those are fascinating. I like it! :-)

I'm always on board with musk, but the meaty tuberose and thick jasmine? No, I think I'll pass on that....

Great description! I also smell musk, a lot of musk, but so far no vanilla. I guess I’ll have to keep spraying.

With "Where is my mind?", I immediately think of the Pixies. They used to be my favorite band back in the day. I guess I should look into the APs. The bottles are perfect for Easter!
