Etienne Aigner Nº2 Aigner 1976 Eau de Toilette

Aigner No 2 is not one of the "cheap perfumes," although the price at a drugstore chain might suggest otherwise, especially when on sale. This Eau de Toilette is an example of perfume creations from the 70s, of which there are only a few left today. It may not be to everyone's taste, as it is not mainstream, but that is precisely why I like it. A scent with high recognition value that is neither distinctly masculine nor feminine. A fresh, subtly bitter fragrance breeze caresses the nose, not intrusive, but clearly noticeable. Fresh, mood-lifting, and invigorating citrus and herbs in the opening, herbaceous floral notes in the heart transition, without disappearing, into a wonderful greenness that combines mossy elements with pleasantly soft, slightly powdery aspects (vanilla?). A wide land unfolds before my mind's eye. Meadows in a light early autumn mist, patches of forest with freshly harvested tree trunks that still smell aromatic, mossy spots for resting. A high seat at the edge of the forest bears witness to early morning gamekeepers, who attentively observe through their binoculars, watching animals and the landscape. A round weather shelter with a wooden bench invites you to linger comfortably during a rain shower. Weekends and holidays that I enjoy spending in such an environment. Away from summer heat and the exhausting everyday life. Aigner No 2 is a scent that allows you to relax, yet still shows interesting facets. Therefore, I give it 90%.
