At my house...

... the metal garden fence needs to be repaired. The workmen are currently sanding off the rust in some places and it smells of warm metal in front of the house. On this warm day, the whole thing mixes with the scent of our magnolia tree and the juniper bush in front of the house. Somehow it also smells of paper. I go back into the house and make the boys a thermos of coffee outside and put it out for them with milk and sugar.

When I put this on, the first thing my nose gets is a light, very dry metallic scent. This is then quickly followed by floral notes that make the fragrance somewhat spicy and woody with a slight creaminess.

The durability and silage are good.

This is a unisex fragrance that can be worn by anyone over 20. The fragrance can be worn on both warm and cold days and is an all-rounder that is not intrusive but is still noticed.

Anyone who likes to wear a woody, metallic fragrance should try this one.

A nudge in the right direction

Inspired by a promising review, I simply couldn't resist trying out this fragrance. Because obviously the name here is just smoke and mirrors. All Saints has always impressed me with powerful fragrances like "Incense City". Such intense notes are definitely my thing, but every now and then my heart longs for feel-good scents - creamy, powdery and sweet. And that's exactly what this creation promises to be.

The naming of such fragrances. Perhaps they wanted to entice those who normally tend towards hardcore fragrances that smell of leather and tobacco. Perhaps you should discover the powdery, sweet side of yourself without being considered a softie. Marketing that skillfully seduces everyone into new territory.

At the beginning, the fragrance is woody and light. Nevertheless, the floral note already flashes up. It is immediately apparent that "Metal Wave" is a delicate little work of art. The papyrus note lends a dry paper texture that makes the whole thing interesting and light as a feather. As the fragrance progresses, it becomes much sweeter and creamier, reminding me of an improved version of Molton Brown's "Milky Musk" in the finish. Powdery, dry and sweet. The only thing I find unfortunate is that the woody paper note does not remain present throughout. Nevertheless, a beautiful, powdery and almost milky fragrance remains. Really successful, especially when you take the price aspect into account.

All Day Champion

I own this fragrance for a long time and from the beginning I liked it extremely well.
It has not yet come to a review, because I still do not find it easy to describe this fragrance.

This is in no way to promise that he is highly complex, difficult or special, but especially with a view to the fragrance pyramid and the changeability within the DNA, it was not quite so easy for me to put the fragrance into words.

There are days when spray Metal Wave and the fragrance shows from the beginning very woody, in the background light juniper vibe.
But there are also days when the fragrance starts quite briskly with a sweet, partly powdery DNA where you might think the queen of spices (vanilla) has a hand with in the game.

Yes, as the fragrance progresses, it becomes sweeter and sweeter, there's no question about that.

The start is, at least for me, but partly provided with large differences - Exciting!

At the end of the fragrance chain, however, is always the same result.
A quite soft-woody, quite sweet, bright / friendly fragrance with a moderate projection, which should not bother anyone great.

I personally like the fragrance as already mentioned at the beginning extremely well. He is suitable for almost any occasion, apart from sports, where I would not wear him.
He has the optimal balance of silage and projection and strikes neither on the feminine nor on the masculine side.
I like to title the fragrance as my "All Day Champion", but for a classic signature fragrance I would not want to commit in principle.

Cost-wise, the AllSaints also plays in a very inexpensive category for what you get. On offer, you can buy it for sometimes well below 40 euros. With a 100 ml bottle absolutely fine. The bottle itself pleases me as well by the simple design , the shape and the very matching cap.

Big City Whispering

It's late autumn 2019 and I'm standing in my regular perfumery and my gaze falls on the beautifully designed Allsaints bottles. Minimalist lines, a concrete-like lid and monochrome photographs of plants. I am thrilled and my interest is aroused.
The names of the compositions evoke associations and only arouse more curiosity. I just want these fragrances to please me. And so I try them out.
But Metal Wave disappointed me a lot at first. Nothing metal. Nothing Wave. And not a metallic wave either. Whatever. I want to at least give a late night riot a chance with a rehearsal. If and which scent I took with me that day, will remain forever hidden in oblivion.

It is autumn 2020 and the brand has made it back into my memory, the sample taken last year is still half-full and I find a good offer in the souk.
Yeah, okay, I want to give the badge another chance. And somehow Metal Wave sounds really great in theory.
All right. So he's the third of his guild to join my collection.
One thing in advance: They have now proved to me several times that Allsaint's extraordinary fragrances are possible.

Let's say goodbye for a moment to the idea that something metallic or wet has gone into this fragrance. Because it hasn't. Instead, the fragrance is warm and dry, not cool and moist.
And compared to tart scents, this is a candy store. Fortunately my interest in scents is very broad.

And may I just say a quick thank you for the great flacon design before I go full blast? It's simply great to add the photograph on the back of the label, which is also on the packaging, so that the flacon becomes your own little work of art when placed "wrong"
Come on, now. It's Friday night in a big city on a balmy summer day. A light, very pleasant wind is blowing and the riot does not seem to have taken place yet. Whether the first three fragrances of the brand are somehow connected or even have a dramaturgical sequence is of course pure speculation, but it fits into the image that this fragrance projects into my head.
Thus, we are at a café or a pub in the pedestrian area and some people drink coffee, others already wine or beer, some people leaf through their newspaper or a book that is already slightly yellowed. And now a breath of wind in the form of a wave carries this melange through the metal facades of the big city into my nose. Tadah, there is the wave of metal. Only without any wave or metal.

Yes, it's a very nice scent. Without any surprises or twists, but with one or two twists at the beginning that you wouldn't have expected. It's just that the expectations should maybe be less influenced by the name.
It annoys me a little that I haven't tried it before. On the other hand...
