Almost Perfect. Almost.
Jubilation XXV is by far my favorite fragrance.
Dark yet still light, complex but somehow easy to wear. Fruit, incense, oud. Simply gigantic. And all of this without becoming overly sweet in the dry-down like so many fragrances do.
But nothing in life is perfect. Unfortunately, it lasts no more than 4 hours at full strength on me - sprayed in the morning, there's not even a trace left on clothing by evening.
Maybe in 10 years - for the 50th anniversary of Amouage, there will be the perfect fragrance. Until then - it remains the best there is for me.

I'm not really sure what to make of all the dilution theories and whether there are really such drastic differences between batches. I mean, the fragrances are certainly subjected to quality control internally. I doubt they would actually send out such weak scents. I don't know. If it really is the case, I wish you good luck with your next purchase.

I'm already familiar with the natural ingredients. I'm no newbie ;) But I somehow still don't believe in these extreme differences. I've never experienced that myself either. Slight variations, sure, that could be true.

As soon as you have to work with natural ingredients, the variables become much more complicated. What's available, where it comes from, and at what price can change monthly. The legislation behind it, along with the changing production sites... variation is normal. It's less so in the designer sector, where reformulation is often planned to cut costs. Still, it's my number one.

I can't say anything against the longevity. I have a current batch. I can still easily smell the fragrance on my shirt even after 24 hours. It still has a nice berry scent, slightly woody and smoky. On my skin, I can still detect it after 24 hours, but it's weaker than on the clothing and less berry-like. On my skin, I notice more woody and slightly smoky notes after such a long time. I would place the sillage in a pleasant middle range, which I personally really like, as I can wear the Jubi in summer because of its fruitiness without bothering or overwhelming anyone.

Which batch do you have?

You keep hearing about strong variations in H/S between batches - old and new. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a good one. For now, I just have to spray twice a day. That's manageable! :-)
