Love Tuberose Amouage 2018

There are many white floral fragrances I find beautiful.

Love Tuberose is one I find genuinely sensual.

Tuberose can sometimes become too loud, too green or almost overwhelming, but that’s not what happens here. Love Tuberose takes the natural sensuality of the flower and wraps it in something much softer, creamier and more inviting.

There’s an almost whipped, velvety quality surrounding the white florals that makes the fragrance feel delicious without turning it into a typical gourmand.

And while I can appreciate white florals on anyone, this is one composition that, to my nose, simply becomes more beautiful on a woman.

It’s feminine, elegant and incredibly seductive without needing to be provocative.

In fact, I like the smell so much that I’ve considered buying a bottle for myself.

But every time I smell it, the same thought comes back to me:

This is how I would like my future wife to smell.

The performance only makes the fragrance more convincing. Longevity is excellent on my skin, lasting for many hours, while the sillage has enough presence to make Love Tuberose noticeable without destroying the softness that makes it so attractive in the first place.

It’s one of those fragrances where sensuality doesn’t come from darkness, leather, oud or anything particularly challenging.

Here, it’s simply flowers, creaminess and femininity doing all the work.

And they do it beautifully.

Love Tuberose features gorgeous white florals, so romantic, sweet, and heady, both ripe and innocent. Sexy bubblegum. Soon I can pick out a hint of vanilla creaminess and powderiness in the background, which, thankfully, are not sugary. There's a tiny bit of sandalwood in the drydown as well. This is a beautiful blend that only serves to complement the leading lady white florals. Love Tuberose is lovely in its simplicity. But when it comes to this house's white floral fragrances, I prefer Ashore and Honour for their complexity.

Edited to add: The more I wear this, the more I love it. It's just so dreamy. I ended up ordering a full bottle.

Don't get me wrong, fans of this fragrance , but I think it's important to get an honest opinion from those who aren't convinced by this fragrance.
I'm a big fan of creamy, milky fragrances and I came across many reviews that said Love Tuberose was an incredibly creamy scent.
One day I tried it.
For days I tried and tried, trying to convince myself that I could smell all the beauty that others were describing.
In vain, the magic didn't work on me.
Right from the start, I smell white flowers, but for me, it's the jasmine that predominates.
It's a very strong, vintage start. I don't have a problem with it, because I like it. But I was promised a 'modern' tuberose fragrance.
I'm moving on.
For me, it's just going to be a white floral scent. Quite heavy and not very subtle. I don't get the impression that it's creamy.
In short, I don't understand why the press are so keen on this fragrance, which I don't think is anything special.
I'm going to stop trying to convince myself that this is a creamy paradise.
It's not for me this time.

this feels like the type of love they write greek epics about. it's so soft yet so present and bold. it's creamy in a way that compliments and uplifts the powdery notes.

im not a fan of florals OR powder but this is perfect. the guy who wrote "this is what i want my wife to smell like" captured exactly the way i feel about this one. love love love. i have this in a decant and im dreading the day ill spray it for the last time.

I've always adored tuberose, but I've never smelled it used in this way. I also adore the smell of whipped cream, making Love Tuberose the perfect marriage for my nose.

Not long ago, I was a discount perfume hunter, searching high and low for >$50 bottles of perfume that smelled as good as $100 or $200+ bottles. Not going to lie, I kind of thought expensive perfume was a scam. The thought of paying $300 much less $400 for a bottle felt foolish, like I would only do that if I'd been tricked by a brand. It seemed like an emperor's new clothes situation, where people were dropping loads of cash on little more than hype. It turns out I just hadn't found the expensive scent that was worth the price for me, personally.

Then I smelled Amouage Love Tuberose. The scent is heavenly. I lack the words to properly describe it. It's a pricey scent, so I'm not rushing out to buy it on impulse. Instead, I'm decluttering many of my cheaper scents, so I may one day have this gorgeous perfume in my collection. One bottle of Love Tuberose is more valuable to me than ten $40 fragrances any day.
