And all that I can see is just another lemon tree
As usual I spray my wrists, my chest and a cotton handkerchief
As usual with the first sprays, I think the opening is too strong, but it soothes and after half an hour I smell lily of the valley and citrus above all. I searched in vain for lilacs for I love this smell when wandering outdoors in spring, but pas de printemps pour Manie nor lilac for me. Except at the end of the day on my handkerchief, I think I could perveive some (or maybe I wanted to detect it so bad I invented it).
So citrus I said, a lot of it, everything was bathed in it, I could barely smell anything else, except, at the end of the day (the longevity is great) I could smell more masculine notes. All in all, it is a great scent, I love to eat oranges, tangerines and lemon though, they smell great also, but it is not the scent I want to carry with me.

Fresh. Rotten. Sweetish.
It seems to be hardly possible these days to create a fragrance that doesn't eventually end up in the sweetish monotony......

The beginning was quite promising......an almost tart citrus, followed by fine lilac.....

But already with the lily of the valley, we leave the pleasant scent paths.....it doesn't smell fresh and delicate, but rather a bit rotten.....like flower stems that have been in water too long.....

With a lot of goodwill, we could of course talk about a slight "animal note" here....but we could also simply stick with "rottenness"......

From this state, the scent now gradually crawls over to the base, which - as already mentioned at the beginning - consists of the usual sweetish monotony and shows no connection to the top and heart notes.....

Those who like the base of this fragrance will find it hard to warm up to the top and heart notes......and vice versa, the same applies......

Simple and clean. It's a beautiful take on lily-of-the-valley, innocent and jovial. It will be a nice one to wear in the summer time.

This is a realistic childhood memories lilac (while "En Passant" is more lily of the valley in my mind)

A fresh bouquet of lily of the valley and other white flowers, with a pleasant citrus undertone and a clean musky base. Really nice!

A wonderful soft summer floral, just a perfect balance of lily-of-the-valley and lilac. Could do with just a liiiiittle less citrus, though

A modern chypre that replaces jasmine in the heart with lilac and lily of the valley, which is original and quite new: bold and exciting.
