where's the humidor?
His Majesty loves it strong: the tea is so dark - the English probably call "Builder's Tea" a similar brew!
The fact that Lapsang Souchong tea also bears the name "smoked tea" is clearly underlined by the opening of Atkinson's fragrance "His Majesty The Oud".
This aroma of the fine porcelain bowl rises vigorously dark and smoky and because the original fragrance theme is still a little too tame, an ingenious jack from the perfume workshop added some cloves.
A lot helps a lot!
Uijuijui: I couldn't spoon that much sugar into the mixture to drink this tea infusion.
Too intense to drink - impressively spicy to start off with.

His Majesty celebrates this tea hour amidst the treasures of his collections in the familiar "cave" of his library.
The cosy, slightly creaky leather armchairs invite you to sink in deeply; their strong scent seems to be intensified by the years here in this room: old, heavy leather aroma permeates the air and marries with the already strong scent of entrée.
Cedar wood, polished from age and silvery-silvery shiny silvery characterizes the intimacy of this room and also sandalwood, here in quite strong sweat note, tunes in: everything breathes here "man"!
This also includes a full-grown animal oud note; do the ruler's dogs have their place in front of the cosy flickering fireplace?
Or does it emanate from the discreetly imposed alcoves? (Oh, a rogue who thinks evil!)
The pronounced male scent, however, needs a somewhat feminine counterpart: warm, creamy vanilla and amber gild this appearance.
These two sisters of Venus bring a glow into this heavy scent: almost like small islands of light from lamps on various side tables distributed throughout the room.

This strong masculine scent cloud develops quite fast to the climax with me and remains also some time: it is not directly unpleasant!
However, it becomes clear just as quickly: this fragrance composition is not for me delicate blonde.
It's too dark for me, too strong, too leathery - in short: too manly!
I can well imagine "His Majesty The Oud" in the right man; but do I find him here in the middle of the big city?
In my opinion, this male fragrance creature lacks only one thing to become really round and harmonious: the aromatic scent of a freshly smoked cigar! So here's my question: "Friends at Atkinsons. Where's the humidor?"

Modernised classic with latent magic formula
What a feeling you have to have to wear the scent. Just be relaxed and let the fragrance unite in you, this is a devotion that can captivate you all day long.
The prelude is herbaceously indefinable, perhaps a mixture of herbs from earlier years or from a jungle in the Amazon. But I didn't let myself be unsettled, because the scent quickly had a grave attraction that didn't let me go. A creamy spicy sweetness was added, which did not seem too pushy for a man for me, however, but harmonizes very beautifully.
Memories were awakened, the scent is like a magic that reminds me of Habit Rouge and the classic Sauvage. Only this always appearing magic is created totally modern and I'm happy that I couldn't smell the old scents anymore. What an experience, I am thrilled, that this fragrance mixture with the initial herbs develops into a lasting miracle of fragrance art, especially this interplay of the scents to be perceived is gigantic, that you think again and again how many fragrances I actually wear.
It's just His Majesty the Oud who saves with Oud but doesn't care!

Where's the oud?!
Initially strong tea aroma with even stronger roasted aroma. The perfume seems to me slightly smoky rather fruity. I don't think of oud, I think of a roasting house. In the course of the day, you can clearly smell like a speculoos, so it is more of a fragrance for the winter time I guess. The fragrance lasts for quite a long time, but the finish is unfortunately very unspectacular and arrives overly sweet. For a men's perfume I find the ending absolutely unsuitable, the fragrance composition is in my opinion more suitable for a woman.

Underestimated
Bold, demanding and invasive. I recall Oud Save The King lacking performance, so naturally I underestimated the strength of this monster. Sandalwood forward with some emphasis on Laotian Oud.

During the first 10 minutes of wear, it almost smells like it’s on fire. After this phase, it dawned on me that “His Majesty The Oud” shares much in common with 24 Gold by Scent Story.

I fell asleep writing this review, woke up and His Majesty is still kicking. While it’s not original, it is a dense and high quality fragrance. You will see little to no change, but it does give quite a performance.

Not the tipical oud
This fragance has really surprised me! I have recived a free sample with my last purchase on a website and this is just wonderful. A very different oud!! I am a bit bored of the tipical oud/rose/vanilla combo that most brands seens to produce now. Every brand has a perfume whith this notes. But this oud is really different.

The opening is weird. For me the mix of notes gives a vibe very close to the black licorice smell. But after half an hour the tea begins to appear and the effect is gorgeus. It is an oud but with and Green, fresh and herbal tone which is no usual.

The performance of the fragance is great, as most ouds. It is tagged for men but i find It totally unisex. I can imagine perfectly a woman wearing this fragance.

A green smoky tea entrance with a spicy clove undertone over a smooth distant leather, packed in a vanilla-woody cloud, no oud detected...

This is my first big experience with oud. Its not daring, its not chalenging. The sweetness makes it very smooth and enjoyable. Love it!!

Not the tipical rose/oud/vanilla combo. The Green scent of the tea gives to the fragance a non common vibe in oud fragances. A must to try
