Sweet desert
In my opinion, the name is completely misleading.
I would have expected a distinct dry, resinous desert atmosphere here.
What I got was a warm, floral fragrance with a distinct sweetness to it.
It remotely reminds me of a YSL fragrance, which doesn't seem to match these scents at all.
My first blind purchase of this brand, will probably be my last Ausmane.
The bottle is not particularly a feast for the eyes. After only a few days, it went to a friend who likes sweet, floral fragrances.
The fragrance starts off very floral (but I can't identify it, it may be all kinds of flowers), with a hint of shallow warmth that becomes much rounder and, above all, hotter over time. A shallow oriental puddle, I thought to myself here. Cocoa notes are barely perceptible, it is rather a lovely note of tonka bean that sits on top of the flowers. Over time, it is clearly undermined by a citrusy, fluffy powdery note that burrows rudely under everything here. Well, a tornado in the Sahara is really something else! There is not much revelation here either. At the end, it still seems a little lightly woody, with the flowery sweetness pushing its way in everywhere. Unfortunately, this blind purchase was a disappointment, especially as I was expecting something completely different. Admittedly, it doesn't seem particularly inferior to me, but it's not particularly good either. Mediocre would fit the bill. A sweet desert is Tornade Sahara, dotted with flowery oases.
Longevity and sillage are so-so, could be much more powerful.
