A blurred dream…
That is what google translate offers when I write Rêve Voilé. But there is absolutely nothing blurred about RV. It is in-your-face and quite loud. The first 15 minutes are a bit synthetic/oily with a tiny whiff of rose. When it calms down, it becomes an insisting but lovely mix of sour berries and roses with a hint of jasmine. It stays there for many hours, more than eight. The base is a mix of a warm note, maybe wood of some sort, and vanilla.
The bottle is gorgeous. The blue-green glass and the unique and interesting design - a bit like modern Art Nouveau. Before I bothered to translate the name, my guess was that it was Rough Sea, Stormy Waters or Sea & Cliffs, simply because the design and colour would fit it so well. It is beautifully done by Pierre Dinand.

Very helpful Review 4
one of the lovely Avon's
RV has a classic touch to it. The opening is somewhat synthetic but still very beautiful. I sense aldehydes mixed with flowers, presumably rose and narcissus together with some honey. The deep blue colour on the bottle fits the feeling SO well; there is an aquatic sense to this, a bit like Davidoff’s cool water. After 10-15 minutes a soapy note starts to evolve, and this dominates for the next two hours. The base is vanilla and a tiny whiff of amber but it is so faint that I have to put my nose close to the skin to know it is there.
In my opinion Avon has done a good job with this fragrance. I have several of Avon’s perfumes and this is one that has character and soul, in my opinion.
