Chrome Sport Azzaro 2010

It smells very good, and it aint expensive at all. I've got compliments off this from a lot of different people. The "OMG that smells so good", "bro what is that that? Put me on" to "is that Versace?". I gate kept it on the Versace one no lie.
If you like Versace Man Eau Fraiche, Kenneth Cole Blue, Bvlgari Man Extreme EDT, or something in that family, get this. The atomizer is garbage though! Had 3 bottles all fail at the atomizer. Tape it down on the sides N it'll spray better. If Azzaro sold it with a better atomizer on the bottle I'd happily pay a lil more for it.

Lemon and ginger. That's all there is to it.

Very refreshing and good for active, sporty type individuals like me.

Chrome Sport will stay with you upon the duration of your workout or run. Don't expect more. 4 to 6 hours is a stretch.

Definetely a must have because: smells great for a citrus, has a good lasting power, medium sillage and projection and it's cheap.

Better and cheaper than the latest aquatic/citric/fresh releases.

Opens with lots of grapefruit and other citric notes, then joins a little of ginger and dries down to a light cedar base.

Safe and cheap choice!

Yes, this sporty fragrance embodies my scent preference :) I had it about half a year ago, but I was too disappointed with its longevity to want to keep it. My previous comment gave it great marks regarding the scent direction, but for what I am experiencing now in this second attempt, an edit wouldn’t have sufficed. So I deleted it and started completely anew:

Hypnotized by Spectrum's wonderful comment, I was (also regarding the longevity) so hooked that I decided to get this fragrance once again. Even their headline is electrifying "The Pleasure of Deep Breathing" (thanks for that ;-) and yes, that’s exactly how it is. Because Chrome Sport smells outrageously good! First of all, because it has nothing in common with the original Chrome ;-) whose strong aquatic-metallic synthetic note doesn’t appeal to me much. Quite the opposite with this sporty version: The fluffy-light aquatic note greatly enriches this fragrance and enhances its invigorating effect. Therefore, I was and still am totally surprised by this completely different, refreshingly new flanker from this line:

Chrome Sport is citrusy and bright green with a fine ginger touch that holds back subtly but still does its job. I have never encountered such a feather-light composition before, and I am truly over the moon. So far, I have tested or partially owned about 300 fragrances, but I have not found a fresher one than this. Sure, "fresh" is relative, and unfortunately, almost every perfume gets labeled as "fresh" in reviews, which makes this scent direction absurd and certainly doesn’t apply to so many. But in the case of this French fragrance, everyone would indeed attribute the term "fresh" to it, as that is simply its forte. And anyone who doesn’t describe this scent as fresh probably lives by a crystal-clear mountain stream, flanked by dew-fresh meadows.

So I am completely taken with it: Chrome Sport smells bright and friendly, is invitingly pleasant, lifts your spirits, and is therefore very attractive. In principle, it is a bright green Versace Man Eau Fraîche, but without its dull aquatic note. Rather, this Azzaro has something of a bubbling spring full of purity and bright transparency. Its grassy-fresh scent progression is quite linear, which I really like, although its grapefruit preference turns it towards Dior Homme Cologne after about 2.5 hours - TOP!

Although you probably have to wear this flanker on clothes to enjoy it longer, as it fades on my skin after about 3 hours. But you know what? I don’t care this time :-) Because Chrome Sport is such a gem for someone whose username is a program, that this super-fresh scent could last only 1 hour on me, it smells that good. And that’s why not only Spectrum feels "the pleasure of deep breathing" from this Azzaro, but I am also

totally enthused!

After I really wanted to test the modern classic "Azzaro Chrome," I came across this one among the many other flankers. The combination of positive statements and the truly affordable price led me to test it alongside the original.

After some tests, I can only agree with Fresh21, the scent is indeed "invitingly pleasant and uplifting."
Upon spraying, the expansive citrus notes immediately come forward, and then for a brief moment, a hint of the original Chrome DNA unfolds with this top note. The fragrance is briefly but really only for a moment interspersed with a slightly metallic-aquatic synthetic note, which disappears immediately. The ginger note quickly unfolds, rounding off the scent before it later transitions into the soft musk-cedar base. I couldn't detect a pronounced amber note there.
It reminds me much more of "Mercedes-Benz Cologne" or "Dior Homme Cologne (2013)," and less of "Versace Man Eau Fraiche." I think it only shares the synthetic quality in the opening with Versace, and in my opinion, that is less pronounced here.

Unfortunately, the fragrance does not have particularly good sillage and is rather close to the skin. It lasts about 4-5 hours on me. However, at the affordable price, you can spray without hesitation. I've also worn it while exercising; it works well for that but is almost a bit of a shame for it. It's nicer to lie in the sun and let the refreshing, friendly scent work its magic. It creates a vacation feeling. :-)

The bottle is quite massive, with the sprayer integrated into the cap. I wouldn't describe it as handy, and even though the spray head produces a fine mist, it is difficult to operate. At least it looks quite valuable overall.

Overall, Azzaro Chrome Sport is a little insider tip among the Chrome flankers that I can only recommend to fans of the aforementioned colognes.
