Flat Synthetic
Actually, I’m not really into the morbid 1920s of the last century. I just can’t seem to warm up to it. But as luck would have it, I spotted the three beautiful bottles from Babylon Berlin at Rossmann the other day. Each one more beautiful than the last, and with fresh testers available. I’ll start with the green bottle. Actually, this green is a kind of dark petrol. I would wear that color as clothing. Very elegant and a bit mystical. Unfortunately, you can’t say the same about the contents. The beginning is not incense, but a synthetic brew like Bayer makes here in the valley. Although the company produces medications. But the scent continues in a similar way. Like medicine. Then sandalwood and tobacco join in, all scratchy, piercing, and artificial. As for sandalwood, that is warm and soft. Tobacco can also be like that. The finish then has leather notes and musk. Together with the other notes, it’s very disharmonious. Right at the very end, you can faintly sense the soft sandalwood. I don’t find the scent suitable for a woman, even if she is a sporty and tougher type. But for a gentleman, the scent is too flat for me. Nothing half and nothing whole, which quickly fades away. After an hour, there’s only a hint left to sniff. All in all, it’s an overpriced synthetic brew that you don’t need.
