8.5Scent 7Longevity 6Sillage 10Bottle

Tropical, fruity notes blend with pleasantly floral accords. Very fine and elegant!

Tales of Torino, a new release from my beloved house Birkholz. This fragrance has once again managed to convince me. I ordered the two new scents early via pre-sale, so they have been with me for some time now.
I have worn and tested both from time to time, and especially the Tales of Torino I have now tested more extensively.
So far, it is my favorite of the two new fragrances.

In the opening, you primarily get fruity notes in your nose. Peach and pear are listed. Whether I would have come to these two accords without knowing the notes, I am not sure. I rather suspected something along the lines of tropical fruits. A mix of mango, guava, and additionally a bit of peach. However, once you know the notes, you can definitely say: "Yes, that fits with the peach and the pear."
In addition to the fruity notes, we have a pleasantly citrusy fruit that lightens the theme a bit and prevents it from becoming too fruity sweet. This citrus twist fits perfectly.
In the background, floral accords can already be sensed.

As time goes on, it becomes, as already mentioned, a bit more floral. However, it never becomes too strongly floral for me!
At this stage, some might come to the idea that it might be too feminine for them.
But I absolutely cannot agree with that! For me, the entire composition is totally unisex! This fragrance is wonderfully suitable for both women and men.
The fruity notes of the fragrance also carry over into this phase. In my opinion, the fruity touch does become a bit less, but it is still there.
The citrus note, on the other hand, noticeably recedes.

When Tales of Torino then moves towards the last phase of the progression and the dry down really begins, you can feel that the fragrance starts to build a certain warmth. It doesn't become completely warm, but it takes on those traits. Slightly woody, warm notes come through.
The combination of Virginia cedar and cypress along with the amber accord certainly contributes to these impressions. However, I cannot perceive a kind of praline.

The performance in this case on my skin is somewhat mixed.
Most Birkholz fragrances perform really well on me!
For example, a Mornings in Milano lasts about 9 hours on me and projects almost continuously! I am always amazed when I read criticism regarding the performance of Birkholz fragrances. I can usually never confirm that!
Tales of Torino, on the other hand, does not really want to project on me so far. The longevity on my skin is about 6-7 hours. That is perfectly fine. However, the sillage, the projection I just mentioned, does not really work for me. I rarely experience that.
In the first half hour, it is really present, and then it quickly tapers off, and the fragrance becomes very close to the skin. Who knows why my skin doesn't want to let it shine.
It's a shame because I really like the fragrance.

All in all, Tales of Torino is a really great fragrance!
Many will surely enjoy it, and I suspect it could become a bestseller. A lovely thing!
