Intense herbal-spicy coriander Oud, for a change not necessarily to run away!
Soo, today I got this sample here while fishing. Well, I'm not an angler, of course, when I'm talking about fishing, I mean fishing a sample out of a sample box. But with fishing you can compare this a little bit, because you never know what you'll get!

Somehow now I have to think about Tom Hanks Forest Gump. You already know where he sits on this bench and ponders things like "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get".

Although, I know exactly what I got here. A look at the sample and another look at the fragrance pyramid here on Parfumo shows me that I fished a fragrance with oud. But that's okay, because Oud can work well in autumn and winter instead of crushing in summer.
If only there weren't coriander too... *sigh*

But let's see, with a little luck (that I NEVER have!) you will surely perceive the coriander extra-intensively, argh! D

The fragrance:
I knew it, I knew it.
I knew it!!
The fragrance starts with a nice oud, some rose, patchouli and a little oakmoss. So it smells okay, especially for people who can do something with a scent like that. But in the background I smell exactly what I already suspected: Coriander!
However, the coriander does not seem to unfold properly (woohooo, have I been lucky??) and disappears into the background, where it will hopefully stay.
The rest is nice, as I said. The fragrance smells quite spicy, woody, but also herbaceous, and through the rose it also has an oriental touch.
And later, from the base, I find the scent even a little nicer. I mean, you can still smell the coriander, but then it is weaker, so that it doesn't really bother any more, and moreover you can smell the tobacco, which makes the scent more beautiful. In the later base the scent is mainly spicy and oudig, and from the other scents one smells above all the earthy patchouli and the tobacco. That's not bad, but now also not soo special (for me).
And at the very end it only smells of patchouli, which reminds a little of vetiver. And until then the coriander has also completely made its way out of the dust :D

The Sillage and the shelf life:
Already with the first sprayer one is wrapped in a small fragrance cloud. With the second sprayer you are wrapped in a large fragrance cloud. With the third (and more) sprayer the whole city can smell one :D Yes, the Sillage is quite strong, even if it weakens after a few hours of course again clearly. But it's still one of the stronger fragrances I've tried lately.
So of course the shelf life is enormous, I could smell the scent until late at night and even the next morning.

The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and looks as if the actual amber-coloured bottle is in a corrugated black envelope. Of course, this "slipcase" is also made of glass and belongs to the bottle. On the front you can see a golden-metal label with the name of the fragrance, the lid could be the end of a column. The whole thing reminds me remotely of Art Deco objects, and I think it looks great!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, some of you must have realized I wouldn't like the scent so much, would you? However, I have to say that although I didn't really like the fragrance so much only in the top note and heart note (which is really due to the coriander here, even if it should be a bit weaker compared to other fragrances here), the fragrance in general makes a high-quality impression and should therefore really please everyone who likes the fragrances emitted here (unless, of course, you can't do anything with oak moss, because some people really don't like this fragrance, for example). And I didn't find the base really bad either, but I still can't start with this scent here.

Such a scent is, as already written in the introduction, a pure autumn and winter scent, since such scents don't actually work in summer... hmm... but isn't it the case in the Orient that people use such violent scents even in midsummer temperatures? Well, cultures are different, but such a scent would kill me in summer, especially with coriander in it, yuck! D

I mean, what's coriander for, anyway? (Attention, I'm babbling a little again... :D). It doesn't smell good... it doesn't taste good... unfortunately, it also has a certain resemblance to parsley, so you could easily confuse it, and then you have the... uh, salad? Mu ha ha ha, börks!
But luckily the fragrance is disappearing further into the background, so that the fragrance has not become catastrophic for me, no, the base is nice as I said! Therefore I don't need to blaspheme about coriander here, I save that for fragrances that really smell deadly after this herb :D

Be that as it may, due to the high quality fragrance (okay, and of course due to the beautiful bottle) I'm now curious about this brand, so that I can well imagine testing more fragrances of this label in the future!

In short: If you like oud and coriander and generally spicy scents, then you should have a look at the scent, unless you don't like oak moss, although the oak moss here isn't that strong either. Now I'm done... honestly :D
