Competes with its big brother

A fragrance that is underrated!

1:1 Oud Satin Mood with an even stronger longevity!

I have had the fragrance for over a year and have worn it only rarely.
2-3 sprays are more than enough for 12 hours of longevity.

The sillage lasts for 8-9 hours before fading.

A must-have for every Oud Satin Mood lover at this price!

Embracing Oud

I stumbled upon Oud Sapphire somewhat by chance while reading reviews of Oud Satin Mood. I had that one, and I passed it on because while the scent was fundamentally beautiful, it nearly overwhelmed me, making me feel like a comic character running around in a drawn "scent cloud"... ;)
Now, onto Oud Sapphire:

Smelling from the bottle, it indeed smells exactly like "Oud Satin Mood". However, the difference quickly becomes apparent when wearing the fragrance. Violet and rose, kept in dark tones, march in warm harmony with the spicy-woody oud. Overall, the impression here is rather spicy and deep, and much less sweet than "Oud Satin Mood".
The oud also develops here in a somehow "sharper and more dynamic" way - it is not so softened or overly rounded. The scent remains spicy/woody/balsamic - and it lasts a very long time. It can do that, as it is an extremely pleasant, stylish companion that does not push itself to the forefront as much as its related buddy. The sillage is still fantastic. I enjoy wearing it; it gives me a good feeling with its warming embrace - and at the same time, I prefer its more rugged, unrefined character a bit more.
Longevity is eternal. A good purchase, in my opinion.
