Positively Surprised! I Like It.

Santal Pondicherry has personally surprised me in a positive way.
I really like this scent!
This creamy, citrus note it carries, combined with a hint of incense and woody undertones, works really well. Additionally, it has a truly pleasant spiciness.

At first, the fragrance starts off directly with this creamy citrus.
At the same time, the woody component is also immediately noticeable.
The listed top note fits perfectly.
I also catch a hint of incense after about 5 minutes. Totally appealing, soft, and subtle.

Over time, the citrus gradually recedes. However, a certain creaminess remains. Woody facets are still present, but it generally becomes warmer. The well-known amber-vanilla mix circles around here, and the creamy sandalwood fits perfectly with it.

The scent lasts about seven hours on my skin, and the sillage is really nice too.
It’s not too strong, but never too weak either.
Moreover, Santal Pondicherry is wonderfully unisex wearable.

If This Is Love...

For the first time and not long ago, I encountered and tested Santal Pondicherry in Prague...

Since I am not one of those perfume enthusiasts who immediately buy a fragrance when the first impression is good or even very good, I left the perfume house without the said scent, just with a sprayed arm and a test strip :)

However, the owner of the perfumery did not mention, or simply forgot to tell me, that it was brand new... Because when I wanted to look up the scent on Parfumo that evening in the hotel, it didn’t even exist yet...

The wonderful fragrance accompanied me all day until I went to bed... And I found it simply fantastic from the first spray to the last sniff before falling asleep....

It starts with a gentle citrus note, paired with fine saffron, a bit of cardamom and incense (subtle) and simply divine sandalwood.....
There isn’t really a great scent progression, as EVERYTHING is just somehow there... But that doesn’t bother me at all; on the contrary, I find it somehow very harmonious :)

Since this was the last day in Prague, I couldn’t go back for the scent the next day, what a pity....

When I was back home, I often thought of Santal Pondicherry and how great it was... Is this love?

About 1.5 months later, I strolled through Zurich - hoping to encounter a great fragrance - and ended up, as so often, in my favorite perfumery.... Oswald...

And there it was, Santal Pondicherry...!
Yesss.....! The joy I had at this reunion doesn’t need further emphasis ;-)

What happened next, everyone can probably guess... I left the store without Santal Pondicherry!

No, just kidding, of course I had to take it with me ;-P

Reunited... and every time a true joy when we are together :)
Well, if that isn’t love...?
