This Is Not Tobacco
I received a decant of Tobacco Sapphire a few days ago and I’m perplexed on why this is called “Tobacco” Sapphire.
At first I did not understand why the rating on this fragrance was a 7.5, but now I think I know the reason. I do not pickup tobacco whatsoever. Fragrances such as Vanille Havane Eau de Parfum, Habanos and even Opus XIV - Royal Tobacco contains a tobacco note. A note upon first spray, you’re like, now that’s a fine tobacco scent. Unfortunately Tobacco Sapphire smells more like a dessert with sweet drizzle atop. It’s smells kind of gourmand but not gourmand if that makes sense.
Don’t get me wrong, it smells great but I truly think the name is misleading. Maybe naming it Mandarin Sapphire would have been appropriate.
I’m so glad my blind buying days are behind me because I would have been angry purchasing this at its price point.
