Oh, my darling, my heart!
A very big, very old love connects me and Woman No. 1.
By a completely stupid coincidence I came across this fragrance in my early 20s. I wished my former colleague (much older than me) the soap for her birthday. I didn't know that and bought the fragrance until she told me (BEFORE giving it away) that she wouldn't like the fragrance, at least as perfume, but just the soap from it.
Instead of exchanging him at the big turquoise, I ripped open the package (he didn't cost a fortune back then), I lay in bed watching TV, still at home in my parents' house. And sprayed. And there he was! My scent! I could barely smell my fill, hung on my wrist all evening.
Unfortunately I can't describe it anymore, but I find it here in the descriptions and your comments and I'd bet 1000 €, I'd recognize it if I smelled it again.
It was my first and only signature scent. The one you always wear. Always carries, always carries, always carries. :-) That was never missing.
The production breaks at Bogner in the meantime were almost apocalypse-like for me, as if the earth were opening up. I often wrote to Bogner, twice I got several samples (6 at a time!) from Woman No. 1, which unfortunately only catapulted me back into paradise for a short time.
The last time (I can't remember the year) after the production break, you had slightly changed the scent, it wasn't "my" Bogner anymore, something was different, more pungent. He didn't smell (at least on me) like before, some other lovers had noticed that too. I had some test purchases, online as well as directly in the Satdt, but never again the smell came to the alleged original and so I had to grit my teeth and separate from all the started flacons.
Since then I have never sniffed a fragrance that has even begun to smell like this.
And I've never had a signature scent since, so for me it's like a scent that always accompanies me, that always has a place on my shelf, no matter how many other scents there are, that's always used to feel good, that makes you feel well dressed, and always do. Who fitted so well to me that I got so many compliments, but who smelled terribly at many others e.g. at my mother.
