The Spicy Must Go into the Bitter.....

The Floral into the Woody-Mossy.
Boucheron pour Homme is quite a complex fragrance. The beginning is somewhat strict. Like our former math teacher, Mrs. Strecker. She looked strict, was strict, and smelled the same way. Good, but just made for her.
The strictness slowly transforms. Soft floral tones seem to echo from afar, coming closer and finally becoming present. I’d eat the stems along with the thorns if there’s no rose involved. Spicy green-fruity wild rose! And clove. One of those that old-fashioned people wear on their lapels. Or in their buttonholes. Aromatic, fine, spicy. Then there’s something cool-green that turns out to be lily of the valley. The flowers along with the leaves! Blissful plant life in a trio.
Quietly, a slightly sweeter botanical note sneaks into the scene. However, not so sweet that it would be TOO sweet. Discreetly present and subtly successful. Lightly powdery. Due to their willingness, even more fragrance notes are engaged, enriching this perfume. Underneath, a moss carpet slowly grows, bitter and grassy scents get to work, delighting the nose and senses. Bone-dry woods and damp grass, light incense and fragrant forest earth. The base is already there, but "head and heart" remain intact. The blend is what makes it here! And the proportions of the individual components. Each is clearly recognizable and harmonizes with the others in a wonderfully pleasant way. The floral fits into the mossy-woody and the spicy into the bitter. Everything is there. Everything in the right place. Signature scent!
