My Great Love

First of all: I am not familiar with the reformulation. I still have the old version of the EdP in double quantity here. And this is what I want to evaluate.

It's a pity that the scent is so heavily devalued here. I actually attribute this to the fact that the "L'Oreal version" has little in common with the old fragrance. Otherwise, the rating would certainly have been higher.

Jaipur has been one of my absolute highlights in my collection for many years.
I remember a warm summer day in 1997. An evening on the streets of Palma. At that time, I had just bought the perfume shortly before and packed it in my suitcase for the vacation.
It was a hot day. Somehow, I felt that Jaipur smelled particularly exciting on me that day. It was probably really due to the heat, which made the "syrup" on my skin shine especially bright that evening.
Jaipur accompanied me on my exploration of Palma and had a calming effect on me while I explored the bustling old town. A wonderful warm cloud enveloped me and accompanied me for hours.

Jaipur has never again evoked that sensuality in me as it did on that summer evening.
Nevertheless, Boucheron's Jaipur will always remain a very special perfume for me and one of my favorites, if not the favorite of all.

I hope that I will be able to get by with my two bottles for a long time. I don't want to try the new version at all due to the negative reviews here.

I’ve now tested the new version and I have to say that, in my opinion, it doesn’t differ much from the old one. My 90s edition is stronger, but it’s also an EdP. The scent is still very nice, though.

The scent is currently rated well at 79%, but not everyone likes oriental fragrances. Unfortunately, I’m learning so little about the scent itself here.

I'm not an expert when it comes to analyzing ingredients. I can definitely recognize vanilla, cinnamon, and lemon/lime, maybe amber and woods too.

I really liked this men's fragrance too. It's a great description of the feelings the scent evokes. Anyone who doesn't know the fragrance won't be able to imagine it well. Did you pick up on anything that's in the pyramid?

The new version of the EdP is definitely wearable, but it doesn't quite measure up to the old Oriental. Thanks, L'Oreal!

I feel the same way about the women's Boucheron - long live our original versions (I've stocked up too *lol*)!

It's great that you have such a precious treasure! Unfortunately, the women's version has been discontinued, and I really miss it!
