If the day were a fish, I would throw it back into the water...
Attention, this is a "this doesn't belong here" comment, thanks DaveGahan101, for these humorous comment categories… :o)
Yesterday was one of those gray days. A visit to my father in the nursing home, he desperately wants to go home, what is he doing here, they constantly tell him what to do, you can't do that to him. On days like this, it's difficult to have a calming influence, thank God he isn't always like this. The wrinkled, toothless Mrs. U. curses everyone in foul language in the common room, in the end, she also curses me and the social worker. Otherwise, she is sweet and calm and often wants me to stroke her hands, "they are so cold." "Don't insult my daughter, that's not how it works, you can't just say whatever you want." When insults are thrown, my father gets agitated. Mrs. U. rolls closer and continues to curse, wanting to push him, my father clenches his fist in the wheelchair… I step in and mediate, trying to calm things down. Mr. B., who can only babble now, stands right next to me and follows everything with interest, his pants are full, that's no secret. Mrs. T. now finally wants attention and barks at the nurse in a commanding tone, "Have you forgotten me, I want my coffee, but a little suddenly..." What a harmonious afternoon, I am glad when I am out, I am a bit thin-skinned at the moment. The calendar saying came to mind, "if the day were a fish, I would throw it back into the water..." Outside, rain and stormy gusts…, hood up and off to the train. Maybe a quick stop at the department store, I want to treat myself now.
Nothing tempted me, not my size, wrong color, well, then into the small perfumery, there was nothing for me there either, and now I just wanted to go home to the couch. The saleswoman asked as I was leaving, "May I spray something from Boucheron, more for spring, but a really pretty scent." She could, of course, who would be surprised, it was Place Vendome, which I already have…
I took Place Vendome out of the cabinet at home, sprayed another spritz, warm and fresh at the same time, the opening is delicately fruity, then a powdery rose takes center stage with a hint of jasmine. The scent is lovely, has a certain neatness, slightly sweet but not sticky, rather piquant. A lightly peppery note gives a freshness kick, towards the end, a clean musk base dominates. Now I remember again why I bought it. A lively floral with good everyday suitability. More for the warm months and for guys only conditionally, they should like powder. Sillage and longevity are medium, the ribbed glass bottle is handy and simple, I like it. Fragrances can't turn gray days into sunny ones, but they can certainly make them a bit more bearable.

I'm gifting the scent to my coworker, and I hope she likes it as much as you do =)
Mega trophy!
