My darling!
For days I've been thinking about how to write a comment for this fragrance. A comment that does this fragrance justice. Yes, it will probably be very subjective. To use Gollum's words: "My darling!" Gollum fell for the glow of the ring, I fell for the scent of Farah Where had you been hiding, in a cave from the Arabian Nights?
Via detours, as it probably happens a thousand times here on Parfumo, I stumbled across Him. About Midnight Poison, Angels Share, Ambre Narguile, fragrance twins and fragrance notes researched. Read in threads, looked at recommendations and researched again. Sniffed Arabesque and Maasai Mara. Samples ersoukt. But you know that.
I like all of the ones mentioned here extremely well. They are not all twins to each other, but for me a direction emerges that is probably mine. Oriental-sweet, Oriental-spicy.
Farah was actually a blind buy then and I'm glad I made it. Of all the ones I've mentioned so far, Farah is my sweetheart, my favorite, the most beautiful scent in my collection for me. And I do not want to add "so far", because at the moment I firmly believe that Farah is my fragrance, and my treasure will remain.
How does it smell now? I do not know how to explain it, instead I think of lots of adjectives, spicy, sweet, dark, mysterious, sensual seductive, unique, beautiful.
Date, honey and the resins give a varied sweetness that is not cardboard sweet or sticky. Cinnamon adds its spice, patchouli and I think musk and leather ground the composition and give this fragrance a mystical aura. Oh, it's just so beautiful.
Before this comment now drifts too much into the kitschy I end this here at this point.
Just so much, the shelf life is very good. With me at least 12 hours. Sillage is also very good from my point of view, although I can not judge that so well myself vllt.
And now I hope times he can always wear summer, maybe only a sprayer...a half

Attention: addiction potential!
Farah means "joy" and "happiness" in Arabic, and the perfume lives up to its name.

In my opinion, an underrated scent. Halfway between Ambre Narguile and Oajan, but at a third of its price.

Oriental, spicy, sweet, but not too sweet. An exotic and sensual gourmand that is addictive. On my skin the predominant notes are dates, honey, cinnamon and tonka bean. It is a short-range scent, but with good longevity. I see it mainly for autumn and winter and it is completely unisex.

Satisfying Sweet Woody Oriental
Brecourt HARAM is probably my favorite perfume from this house--of the ones I've tested so far. It is a substantial, wintertime composition with both wood and sweetness mingling with spices and other rich components. I would say that HARAM compares favorably with some of the thicker oriental elixirs I've sniffed from far more expensive niche brands, so if you're looking for a solid oriental, this one is definitely a bargain!

I agree with some other reviewers that HARAM is not very original, but the important point is that it smells good and holds up well from start to finish. There is something both yummy and comforting about this perfume, and I definitely recommend it for testing by anyone who likes their oriental perfumes on the denser side. This one is rather sweet, so I do not know whether the guys would like it, but it is similar in style to By Kilian BACK IN BLACK, if that helps any.

A lot of notes are packed into this perfume, but they are blended together so that the end result just smells like an above average sweetish woody oriental. I am unable to disarticulate the various components as isolable notes.

Many reviewers at another site--and apparently here as well--have claimed that HARAM smells similar to Hermès Hermessence AMBRE NARGUILE. I respectfully disagree. To me, this smells closer to something by Linari.

A comfy gourmand
A spicy-gourmand scent, opens with a burst of orange and cinnamon, then reveals a warm heart of white chocolate adorned with the rich smell of marzipan.
A fragrance which is slightly reminiscent of the good parts of Guerlain's "Iris Ganache" with its lovely, gourmand opening chords, but Haram remains rather pale on my skin. It features marzipan and white chocolate, and even after one hour, that's the overall impression you're left with. Pleasant, with a comfy gourmand feel, but devoid of originality.

This DNA is always a dream
Farah is listed as a women's fragrance, but why only? But this fragrance is so unisex!
In general, this DNA is great for both women and men to wear.
The DNA is known from some fragrances. Fragrances like Parfums de Marly Oajan, Attar Collection Khaltat Night, L'Erbolario Dolcelisir are similar. Anyone who knows these fragrances knows what to expect here.

The fragrance starts directly with these great winter spices and the great resinous flair.
For me, Farah has the most similarities to Khaltat Night in the top note. Khaltat Night also had an association with great winter spiced cherries for me, especially at the beginning. I get the same vibes from Farah, even though there is no cherry listed.

After the cherry impression, the wintry spices remain and subtle honey impressions also come through. Of course, these come from the listed honey on the one hand, but also from the great resinous accords, which are slightly reminiscent of honey.

Patchouli is also added over time.
However, the patchouli is by no means very dark or earthy, as it is made very subtle by the other accords.
All in all, it goes really well together.
