False Expectations
Well Goldea, here we are. We need to talk, you said. Hmm… We’ve been together for exactly a year now. I saw you the winter before, on vacation at the airport. Your bottle was so sexy, black, elegant, and curvy. And your name was so promising: The Roman Night! Okay, I’ve never been to Rome, but I imagine the nights there to be hot and romantic, a bit wicked and mysterious.
Yes, my fault, I admit it. A few months later, you made me an offer I couldn’t refuse, 20% off in the sale! I already knew a few relatives from your honorable family, and so you moved in with me. On our first date, we went to a Spanish restaurant, which you shouldn’t do with a proud Roman woman. After an hour, you disappeared, and I was left sitting alone.
The second time, I took you to a public viewing, thinking every Italian woman loves football! Yes, I know Italy wasn’t even in the World Cup, but Germany wasn’t either at that point! You left me again soon after. I tried one more time with you, a romantic dinner at an Italian restaurant, I have no idea what you didn’t like, but you were gone faster than a street thief!
Oh, that evening it was just too hot for you, sure. You know what, Goldea? I don’t think you’re a going-out fragrance at all. What, you never claimed that? And your name? Well, you can’t help that, you’re right. It comes from the jasmine that blooms at night and from peony and musk that are sometimes black, but to me, they don’t smell very different from the lighter version. The very sweet opening probably comes from the mulberry, and I thought you were just buttering me up with honey.
Maybe we just don’t match. Aha, you think so too? Because I once said you smell so much better on my blouse than on me? Not so sweet and a bit cloying but much more delicate, floral creamy, really beautiful, sigh.
Do you think we should try again together? Maybe during the day on clothes, when it’s not so warm? Okay, and then we’ll talk about it again!

Cool comment! :-D A trophy for that. I just tried it out and that's why I stumbled upon your lovely comment. :-)

Given that some people view perfume critically on the skin, as they might affect the body, I often spray it on my clothes and in my hair. Let’s just say, you can wrap it up after this bottle.

I tested Roman Night a while ago, but I wasn't completely convinced. Something bothered me, although I can't quite put my finger on what it was.

Exactly, do that. Try it on your clothes. I liked the Roman Night, but the last spark just didn't ignite for me. I found the longevity to be fine on my skin.
