Disguised and misjudged: Black? Matt beige! Or old pink?
A glance at the scents alone suggests that the name for this perfume is not appropriate. But who reads fragrance pyramids (except us here), most read the name, see the bottle and go on. Too bad. It is a fine, gentle and very calm scent.
Breeze of bitter orange blossoms floats in the lukewarm evening air, grapefruit peels lie on sun-drenched walls, an old mortar exudes a hint of pepper. Linger with closed eyes, think of nothing at all, here and now. A hint of rose geraniums comes over, sweet and resinous. In the diminishing light, the flowers lose their strength and become milder and duller. The dry soil still radiates warmth, into which patchouli, vetiver and cedar dribble their aromas.
Pst... hey... hello... did you let yourself be kidnapped? Did you like it there? Then try Byblos in Black. Maybe the perfume doesn't have the same effect on you as it does on me, but it certainly isn't: black.
In its almost meditative serenity, the fragrance resembles Prada's Infusion d'Homme, with only geranium instead of iris in the centre, and it is more sweet, but by no means sweet. H/S good. An all-rounder, for all seasons and clearly unisex. For gentle people a clear recommendation to buy
