A gentle beast
Bestium - the name already promises great things. I had expected a really massive, strong and polarizing scent. But it didn't turn out quite like that.
Bestium starts like a classic, very high-quality rose oud fragrance. Add some bergamot. The oud presents itself very soft and restrained and is very well balanced by the rose, so that it also appears relatively light and radiant. You can already smell the excellent quality and the Sillage is worthy of a beast.
In the course of time the whole thing changes into a fragrance with this modern shower gel spice, accompanied by rose and backed by light patchouli. The whole thing remains solidly on the skin for 12 hours. Nice. But also quite ordinary
I would have wished for a little more "rough edges" for the fragrance. It lacks the "evil" character I would have wished for from a beast, as well as a clear unique selling point to the many other rose ouds on the market. Therefore he is a real all-rounder, which should be well received in almost every environment. Heavy enough for the winter and light enough for autumn and spring.
All in all a great fragrance that is definitely worth a test, especially for fans of the rose oud genre.
However, I am not sure if I will ever buy more than one sample of the fragrance, because the price is also bestial...
