A Definitive Masterpiece
I have always known of Tabac Blond
But never really experience it.
( I'm trying to remember how I discover the House of Caron. Perhaps Department stores? ,,, but the fragrance I knew from Caron was this-Tabac Blonde, Parfum Sacre( never smelled), Narcisse Noir( experienced, but don't really remember) .
So, a few years ago, during the Pandemic of 2020, I started to get into Caron and it's online presence.(which is a more open outlet for Americans; as Caron, nowadays, is a dominantly European affair).
I ended up loving Tabac Exquis(chocolate forward), Rose Ebene(coffee and rose forward) , then L' Invitation Du Voyage( violet pronounce but spiced depth).
Then I received a sample of Tabac Blond!
I sprayed it on paper and thought '...where is the tobacco?'. All I was picking up was strong florals! So one day I decided to be spontaneous and tried it out on my skin of African descent.
BLOWN AWAY.
The Tobacco roared, with some sort of sweetness. I absolute felt like I was going out in Paris ..during the 1920's. The balance between the tobacco, the spices( a dominant clove), the florals( must be something white --ylang or linden) is amazing.
There something nostalgic about it, but there is also something quintessentially youthful about it too.( perhaps the audacity to celebrate cigarette smoke??, always polarizing.)
Caron Tabac Blonde is a master of a fragrance that every one needs to at least know …and know well.
