French elegance and refinement interpreted by Mr Slimane

Hedi slimane has been for me the embodiment of good taste for more than 20 years (clothing, artistic quality of these creations, perfumes, etc.)

a perfume with a pure smell of nicotine (no cigarettes or tobacco) coated with iris and vanilla very finely made.
Indeed, I agree with the previous comments with the image of the guy sitting at the bar but not smoker, rather the one who gets the smell of tobacco that would come to him in the discotheque.
The resemblance to jazz club is not very realistic in my opinion.

Can be a signature perfume for me

Cigarettes After Sex

A very long lasting patchouli resin amber with iris and smoky touch. This one is the fiercest of all the collection.
People stood on the pavement of Chez Castel to watch the parade. Saint-Germain-des-Prés is boiling despite the cold of winter. The smoke from her cigarette makes the mascara sink from her blue eyes. The girl clings to the boy’s arm, laughing. The party begins between euphoria and future hangover. The Parisian youth sets fire to the dance floor. The heat is stifling, it’s hard to breathe, the air is saturated with alcohol vapor, make-up powder mixed with body perfumes, cigarettes and leathery patchouli. The bodies stretch out, look at the strangers between raw desire and fear. Attraction and repulsion. The night unfolds like a treasure map full of promise. Her body falls into his arms. The boy grabs her mouth and puts his burning lips on her. The flickering lights make them weightless. The girl suddenly escapes and comes back with her leather jacket. She approaches his ear and says, “Come on, let’s go home”. They cross the dark corridors to reach the exit where they kiss again. She puts on her black perfecto and goes down the street smoking a cigarette without looking back. A trail of Nightclubbing stays on the alley. The final drydown is not so far from Dior Homme Parfum.

Clubbing as a concept

Most of the Celine scents I tried are very powdery and fluffy in a refined way. They usually smell like iris and vanilla, calm and elegant. Nightclubbing starts a bit different. Rougher. Cool, dry, smokey and a bit leathery. I understand everyone who says it smells like cigarettes, even though it's not exactly the same scent. It's neither as biting as fresh smoke, nor does it have the gross trash smell of an ashtray, and it definitely doesn't smell like unlit tobacco at all. But something about it still feels cigarette-ish.

After it has dried down for a moment, the familiar powdery Celina DNA starts to shine through. Vanilla, musk fluff and Iris butter again, this time a tad earthy leaning and with a noticeably bitter galbanum note. It's starting to feel elegant and refined and not as rough anymore. Some cool smokiness stays around, but it becomes quite wearable and nice.

This is a clubbing scent for people who are out of their party phase, a stylized memory of smoke-filled dive bars and leather jackets. It does not smell like the kind of perfume most people would actually wear to a club. The vibe is too introspective, it doesn't exactly scream "let's have fun".

Among the Celine fragrances I prefer others like Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Black Tie or La Peau Nue, but I appreciate that they tried something a bit more experimental here. Now if they could only get rid of their unbelievably ugly bottles.

Melancholic, Introspective Hangover

A luxurious, chic, leather sofa at the center of an exclusive secret club.
New wave, post-punk music plays in the background. The sofa's leather keeps the smell of everything that these wild nights could tell: tobacco smoke, erotic tension, spilled whiskey drinks.
Even if cigarette holes cover its surface, that sofa it's still such an enchanting piece of interior design.
Nightclubbing by CELINE smells exactly like this.

Smells like wealth

I’ve read the reviews in the past and was put off by the cigarette description and was assuming it would be smoky, heavy and an absolute migraine. So I was pleasantly surprised when I took a whiff of this at the Celine boutique. It screams wealthy rich Parisian girl. Much lighter than expected. To me it’s 100% unisex that’s more feminine leaning..maybe it’s the sweetness in vanilla? I don’t know if it suits me, but I’m addicted to the smell..i have a travel size just so I can huff it. This girl is sexy, sultry, dark and gorgeous.

The cigarette opening is fantastic, which makes the generic musk/vanilla dry down all the more disappointing. It great but the price tag is outrageous
