Dark spiced chocolate layered with an almost herbaceous moss note. Exciting and unusual for a gourmand fragrance.

Ooooh, I'm really surprised - I thought it wasn't on the market yet - isn't it supposed to come out until mid-June???

On May 15th, there was a pre-launch in Paris. I was lucky enough to get a bottle on that date. :)

Oh, that sounds fantastic!!!
A child of some Celines, basically! I don't know Reptile yet, but I know the others.
What season would you place it in?
It also sounds a bit like Gourmand Coquin + Angelique Noire??? Would it be a Guerlain... or am I interpreting it wrong? :)

Much more subtle than the Guerlain L‘Art & La Matière! GC and AN are both very dominant in their own way, while Zouzou is a skin scent and has a completely different character. The chocolate here feels like 90% cocoa, if that makes any sense. 😅 If I had to think of a Guerlain, it might be the Shalimar Millésime Iris with its vanilla-smoky spice.
Season... good question... I think this one works year-round despite the chocolate note and vanilla, except maybe at 30 degrees by the pool. 😄

This morning: Black Tie with caramel. Behind it, a bit of Nightclubbing, Reptile, and Bois Dormant.
Very long-lasting, but no strong sillage.

And somewhere I catch a hint of sweet licorice, which has a slightly anise-like scent.

Unusual gourmand has caught my attention; I'm even more curious about the scent now.

Yes, definitely! But there are quite a few Celines. I'm curious to see how others perceive it. :)

Dark chocolate is generally said to be healthier, right?

Yes, especially sprayed and not eaten. 😅

A bit… smoky-chocolatey and - I can hardly believe I'm saying this because it sounds very strange: I spontaneously associate it with a new fragrance category, the gourmand-chypre. 😄

I'll leave that to the dental assistants :-)

What? This one? It's not a dentist, it's incense moss in the background.

Isn't it as earthy as Coromandel?

No, it's earthy, but not like Coromandel; it's more like incense. Plus, there's a noticeable Black-Tie vanilla.

Wow, even though I don't like BR540, this one sounds pretty interesting. I'm curious to see how it is... I'm a bit jealous that you got to test it already 🌝.

@Valerie7
Yeah, a bit… without the leather and more like incense? I’ll test it side by side with a few other Celines tomorrow.

@Cardea Sounds a bit like the spicy-mossy base of Reptile; could that be?
I think that one is great too.
Now I'm even more curious ☺️.

I found BR terrible. This one is a Celine interpretation of the theme. I can imagine that the spicy-mossy undertone might not suit everyone. For me, that's what makes it appealing. ☺️

It somehow reminds me of BR, but much more elegant and less harshly synthetic. The contrast of carnival and dentist is like Zouzou's Christmas market and forest.
It could do everything right for me that BR540 got wrong.

I found BR540 terribly harsh. This one has a similar theme for me with that contrast of gourmand and moss-resin, but much more elegant.

Thanks, your description resonates with me since I don't find BR540 as amazing as most do. It's going on my ML.
