Brought out again
For a long time now, I've wanted to get my fragrances back in order. There's always something accumulating over the years, months, weeks, hihi. It's funny where all this stuff always comes from? tz, tz, tz ;-)

Now this Cerruti fell into my hands again, which I thought I HAD once and, lo and behold, suddenly it crawled out again, something like that.

However, the fragrance notes described here are certainly not complete, because the color is not so golden-yellow, but rather citrusy-white and the scent is also more varied than I initially thought.

For me, "Berg a Motte" (as Medüschen describes it so nicely) is in the foreground here, combined with aldehydes, which MUST always be there, right, and as it progresses I imagine I can smell sage, chamomile softly and verbena already louder.

Then a delicate floral is added, which could be a mild rose or jasmine, but not very prominent, and finally patchouli and sandalwood join in. Nothing grapefruit, mint or leather. For me, it's not called pour Femme, but Image Women,
i bought it cheaply at easycosmetic back then. (Hope I'm allowed to write that?)

All in all, it's a fresh, citrusy fragrance for me, but it's much more complex than it seems at first glance and is probably preferably a fragrance (at least for today's fine noses) for women/men who prefer it a little more tart.

I like it, so the bottle remains in the collection, or has been added to it again, because it makes me happy!

Deserves a second chance
I received today my Image and I was surprised with this aromatic perfume, very fresh and happy appropriate for spring and summer. I can detect the lemon notes very well blended with spice and leather. Sillage and longevity very nice and all you get at the end is an aromatic fresh scent. I believe Cerruti perfumes are underestimated and they truly deserve more credit.

Cerruti Image WOMAN could be for a MAN
This is a citrus woody scent that could pass for a unisex fragrance. Signature scent worthy for the right wearer. Possibly second skin for the right chemistry. Very wearable in warm weather, even with a heavy hand.

This is a green/citrus/woody scent that could pass for a unisex fragrance. Comes off as fresh, sometimes spicy. The bottle & sprayer are gorgeous, substantial -- every expensive looking & feeling!

Top Notes - Green Leaves, Grapefruit, Pimento, Pepper (?)
Middle Notes - Mint, Gentian Root
Base Notes - Leather, Amber, Cedar, Birch

Image seems to have a top and a bottom, no middle. On the top I get fresh green, grapefruit and pepper -- it can be a bit sharp but it's do-able. After 10-15 minutes it mellows beautifully. The mint & other notes in the middle do not present to me in a way I can recognize, and it's very subdued at this stage. The woody base is there, but not strong or strikingly prominent. I'm learning to recognize the birch & leather.

Lasting power is very good for an EDT but it wears very, very close to the skin at the dry-down. Body lotion and shower gel are readily available for those interesting in layering. It's not love-love for me so, that's not a purchase that I'd make.

The bottle and spray are drop dead gorgeous, substantial, luxurious. Yet, when I hold it, I am expecting a more prominent leather scent. The bottle doesn't seem to jive with the juice, in my opinion.

If you're like me and are frequently nauseated by florals and sugary perfumes, you might give this one a try. I would also recommend this to someone who likes sharp citrus & wants to be introduced to leather slowly and safely. The target market is professional women, and it is perfect for the office. Also, a great leather for the summer.

I am about 40% done with one 2.5 oz bottle -- in a year -- and that's a lot coming from someone who owns a ton of fragrances. I would buy this again.

A Sunny Boardwalk And Water Mint
Right. Grapefruit and pepper, it smells a bit masculine at first. Mint is there right away, too. Pleasant. A bit acerbic, fresh and herbal, neither aquatic-fresh nor like tooth paste or even chewing gum, but herbaceous.

The warmer base starts to show through quickly as well. The pepper is slipping away or maybe merging with the cedarwood, difficult to decide. Mint is astonishingly tenacious, especially as mint usually doesn't stay for long.
Grapefruit is restricted to the top note, once we reach the heart there is nothing left but a hint of bitterness. But mint is still going strong. It is borne by warmer woody notes. At first I recognize the cedarwood I noticed in the top note already, after that there is the acerbic and medicinal scent of birch bark. A little amber adds warmth, but that does not mean that the mint is gone, oh no!
Coming to the base note, the woody and warm spicy ingredients and also leather take prevalence, but a hint of mint stays until the very end.

After the first few Minutes "Cerruti Image Femme" reminds me of "Acqua Allegoria Herba Fresca".
To my mind this fragrance is at least as suitable for men as it is for women! It is not intrusive at all (not on skin, anyway) and not unpeasantly tart or acerbic either. It breathes a dignified and well-groomed freshness that smells more of freshly washed with soap than freshly showered with shower gel.

I had an old tester tube when I wrote this but decided to buy a larger bottle which I did. And it smells still the same. Fortunately, as this scent made me think of a very relaxed holiday in Sweden.

There was a meadow strewn with birch and alder trees sloping down from the chalet (a red timber house with white corners as becomes a swedish hytta) to the lake and a small, slightly muddy sandy bathing place. Next to it was a boardwalk with a slightly leaking old fishingboat, and then a thick reed zone interspersed with purple loosestrife and water mint...

A shower Of Stars Now Twinkles In The Air
Since Cerruti Image pour Homme Eau de Toilette blew my mind by exceeding my expectations, I didn't hesitate to buy Cerruti Image pour Femme in the dark based solely on the listed notes. I couldn't resist, and I sprayed it on the back of my hand as soon as I left the shop. Do you think the beginning is all roses and flowers? Well, you are as wrong as I am. Although it has probably been reformulated, the scent is still decent, modern, and pleasant. Worth buying, even blindly.

Cerruti Image pour Femme opens with an explosion of spices and acidity, something that displaces and you don't expect, very unusual compared to other summer women's colognes. I smell a freshly sliced bitter yellow grapefruit with a generous dusting of pepper, appearing more white than black to my nose. Together, these two give off such a fabulous aroma, underpinned by a rich greenish carpet of foliage. There are vetiver leaves because the scent of those greenish sword-shaped leaves is unquestionable. There's just enough citrus sharpness to keep it interesting and balanced, and no undertones that lean towards the feminine. This green, fresh, radiant opening is nearly as good as its male counterpart's. A few minutes after the fiery start has died down, I recognize some signature accords of the L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme Eau de Toilette fragrance, that joint where tart citrus blends with warm spices. L'Eau d'Issey was my signature as soon as it came out, and I still love it.

What a wonderful surprise this perfume is! The warmer it gets on my skin, the more it enchants me. The sweet and sour of the gentian rules the heart without the earthy effect of the root, just a deep bitter, herbaceous note with a dry woody undertone. In the heart stands a light balsamic mentholated colouring with semi-metallic edges, thanks to the graphite, which brings a mineral side. I could stay like this forever to smell it and never get tired. The middle stage is fresh, watery, and captivating, without the floral, milky touch of pour Homme, courtesy of jasmine and fig. Instead, there is something delicately metallic, pleasant and dewy.

Pour Femme approaches the landing phase with slightly woody and salty accords on a carpet sprinkled with birch bark and tanned leather. My skin amps up the salty, leathery undertones. It is a smooth, thin suede with green hues, not too animalistic, intertwined with cedar wood shavings. What's left is a blend of glazed lemonade with some amber warmth and citron bitterness. Over time, the aroma loses its spicy and juicy component and becomes more elegant, balanced, slightly powdery, and warm. There is no excess of either ambroxan or Iso E Super.

Purchased in the summer, it is well suited to the warmer months, from April to October, when the air is crisp. With good longevity of about half a day and excellent moderate silage, it is genderless, suitable for the office and leisure, more for mornings and afternoons, and summer evenings outdoors. Image pour Femme carries a stamp of personal beauty and enjoyment. Still, no one can tell it's a perfume whose concentration helps it hold on for a while, so it's encouraged to use it around the house, and using it in intimate times is the more appropriate use of perfume.

I'm basing my impressions on a bottle I've owned since June 2023 (BC 0034B, PC 2020-02-03).

Slightly tangy, sweet and fresh citrus and mint on an amber and aromatic woody base. It's very nice! A winner for me!
