Simple, elegant rose

This fragrance opens with an uplifting, soapy rose spiced with pink pepper. The citrus notes are mainly in the background, which gives the opening slightly tart support to make it more rounded. It might be a stretch, but the opening reminds me of Roja's Oligarch(now Isola Blu) without the depth. (Another way to think about it is this+Terre'd Hermes = Oligarch) The scent is very linear and simple, which aligns with most of Chanel's fragrances, Chanel always puts 'class' and 'elegance' before 'complexity' or 'making an impression', even in their exclusive line, there's maybe 20% chance you'll find a more 'bold and different' scent that isn't mass appealing. This can be a pro or a con for different tastes. Because many fragheads don't realize that complexity doesn't necessarily imply better taste, I think it's worth pointing that out...

Projection is about Average, Longevity is a bit lacking(around 6 hours), but it is well understandable for this scent profile.
