Mint to Be
I can see why some people experience this as a cleaning solvent smell--we even have a lemon-mint cleaning spray at my workplace--but I'm not experiencing it that way at all. In fact, this is exactly what I was hoping for. The lemon is bright and ever so slightly sweet, and a refreshing mint runs all through it. I can't decide if I want to roll in it or eat it. The bottle is also a plus, like a little gem. Overall, a hugely successful purchase.

What can the scent do about the fact that I'm too old????:)

For some reason, Chopard fragrances have not appeared on my radar at all. I don’t know a single one off the top of my head, haven’t tested any, and certainly haven’t commented on any.
However, as I was strolling through the perfume store today - I must confess, more in search of a functioning air conditioning system - two cute little bottles caught my eye. Cute is usually not a testing impulse for me, but these two were just TOO adorable standing next to each other. And - what was even more important - the last time I browsed, they definitely weren’t there. Ohhhhhh new fragrances, an immediate Pavlovian reflex kicks in. No, of course not drooling and slurping in public, but rather, as I imagine, a discreet twitch and vibration of my nostrils accompanied by a pleasing raising of my eyebrows. Meanwhile, my brain is working at full speed: “Which perfume did I wear today, and where all did I apply it???” The fact that I actually still had two arms completely scent-free and my morning application of “Chant d’Arômes” had already largely capitulated to the abominable heat and/or my body’s own air conditioning system running at full throttle, namely: perspiration/vulgarly: sweating like a pig (and yes, I know pigs can’t sweat…) I immediately regarded as a sign of fate. So, Happy Chopard Lemon Dulce - from the absolutely adorable yellow bottle with a green ball cap - quickly landed on one arm and Happy Chopard Felicia Roses - from the pink bottle with a red ball on the other.
A cheerful fresh wave of neroli and citrus aromas spreads from my arm and hits my nose. So actually exactly what I expected based on the name and the bottle. Really nice, not too synthetic and a welcome refreshment in the heat. When the first attack of the killer lemons subsides, it suddenly gets more interesting: apple makes its presence known and brings an unsticky fruity sweetness and a fresh scent direction. Another green-spicy, slightly soapy note (but in the way that basil can sometimes smell a bit soapy) can be detected. Interesting and not at all assignable for me. A look at the fragrance pyramid is in order: Shiso leaf??? I don’t know it at all and it doesn’t ring a bell, if it smells somehow kitchen-spicy edible, it could be what I have in my nose. It doesn’t smell herbaceous like sage, nor like basil or thyme, maybe closest to a bit of green coriander, but (before all the coriander-traumatized people flinch and secretly vow to never contaminate their poor noses with this scent) maybe I’m completely wrong. It’s definitely a spice direction I’ve never smelled before. So far, I really liked the cheerful scent, but as it develops, it does become a bit candy-like (or a bit like the shampoo “Green Apple” that we thought was soooo cool as kids….. :)) That fades over time and the scent becomes a bit more, let’s say, mature, the bergamot that had previously eluded me now also comes to the fore. Happy Chopard Lemon Dulce then simply becomes weaker and I can’t really discern a proper base. But with such a summery refreshing scent, that doesn’t bother me particularly.
Hhmmm, what is my conclusion about this scent from the (I just have to say it again) particularly charming cute little bottle (and the packaging is soooo adorable!!!!!!)?
I fear I am not the target group, or let’s put it diplomatically, I am already a bit richer in experiences! I would find it super and almost elegantly mature for my godchild (14 years old), and the daughters of my friend (15 and 17) would perceive it as an incredibly pleasant change from the olfactory bombs with which they mercilessly bombard their surroundings even at over 30 degrees - presumably to keep all the boring adults at bay (with success, I can assure you….). If I now say it’s a nice scent, it sounds worse than I mean it. Happy Chopard Lemon Dulce is exactly what it promises: a cheerful scent with a lemon note and sweet-fruity sprinkles in a bottle and packaging that perfectly matches. So actually, everything was done right!

Here, here...a workhorse
Here it is.
The workhorse, the scent for every day,
the scent that doesn't disturb, sting, or pinch anyone.

But now in order:

The bottle in the 100 ml version is very simple, I like it.
But beware! Risk of injury!
The cap not only looks round and heavy like a paperweight. Nooo.
This thing is also heavy. I weighed the cap. It weighs 66 g. Sounds light.
But don't drop it...like I did.
Cap intact, foot hurts.

The spray head sprays a not-so-large amount, misting finely.

The scent.
Now in the heat, I find it rather delicate and fleeting.
At first, I smell cheerful lemon. Similar to the shower gel from Kneipp Lebensfreude.
Great. I like it.
Immediately, a fine hint of the typical Cologne scent joins in. But it disappears quickly.
Something tiny and green flits by. A lemon leaf perhaps?
I don't smell much more in the heat.
But I generally have this problem with almost all scents at high temperatures. They all evaporate quite quickly, you don't even get the chance to sniff the entire fragrance pyramid.

You can spray quite a bit, but it's not very long-lasting.
At least not in tropical temperatures and humid air.
I need to test it further when it gets cooler.

For my workplace, it's a really nice workhorse. Subtle, no big sillage, unobtrusive, but clean and well-groomed.

Makes Me Truly Happy
Lemon Dulci is currently my fragrance for spring and summer. I discovered it at a drugstore at the end of last year. Even the design of the bottle suggests that it is intended for warm and hot seasons. It appeals to me a lot and looks great on the perfume shelf. Of course, the cap could have been a bit more economical. Since the price is affordable, it was a blind buy. There was no tester in the shelf.
The perfume spent the time until March in its packaging.
Then it was sprayed on a beautiful weekend. I found myself in a very lovely authentic lemon cloud. At first! Mandarin joined in. Hmmmm! When the ginger came through 15 minutes later, I was thrilled. Mood: Excellent! Fine ginger clouds were perceptible again and again. And then... how brilliant the mint comes in the BASE!!! refreshing and refreshing and... The apple rounds it all off fruitily. For me, it's a top fragrance for summer. Since I have unfortunately already used up two 40 ml bottles, 100 ml have now moved in. This really has to be enough now!
The longevity is good for a citrus fragrance. The sillage is enveloping for 2 hours, then the scent becomes close to the body. I can still perceive it for up to 5 hours. In great heat, I smell it about 2 hours shorter.
This addendum is necessary:
In the evening, my husband and I went cycling. In 36° heat, I had sprayed myself very generously with Lemon Dulci before the ride. Along the way, a passing cyclist asked my husband what the perfume he was wearing was called. My husband pointed to me and said: "That's not me, that's my wife." The cyclist rode up to me and said: "Even better, what's the name of the perfume?" I told him the name, and he was really happy and said: "That's really good."
So the scent is definitely wearable for men as well.
By the way, my husband had a great time and said that's what happens when you overdo it with the spraying.

A Citrus-Herb-Spice Blend at Its Finest!
I hardly thought that a "small scent" could really grab me so much! Even though it is considered a so-called "cheapie," that does not diminish its fantastic effect on the nose and spirit. On the contrary, it is quite a "fine" one. Neither a clone of anything nor a "cheap knockoff."
A truly grand bitter freshness experience, created from a whole array of citrus fruits ranging from "cool-green" to "zesty-warm." And the idea of combining mint aromas with ginger is a real novelty for me and my nose. It fits together so wonderfully "contradictory" that it is a true joy. If it were a landscape, then a cool, green fine mist would hover over a Mediterranean, rather hot maquis. It slowly descends to transform the heat into a pleasant warmth. Meanwhile, a damp hint provides aromatic vibrations. A bit complicated, the description!? But that’s exactly how my enthusiastic impression is! ;-))

A sunny yellow scent and not only for its nice jewel bottle. Noticeable primofiore lemon touch as well as the shiso heart. Not at all sour

Fresh citrus, a touch of mint and soft sweetness. It’s called 'Happy' for a reason. You can wear it anytime and it just works.

Nothing happy about this... a chemical, pungent lemon... similar to any bathroom spray... so sorry, but a pass for me.
