Sweet and Spicy Gourmand Roses

This is a very interesting fragrance, but I am having a hard time trying to figure out what this perfume is trying to be. It is listed as a floral Oriental fragrance. Okay, but I'm also getting elements of a gourmand as there is a candy sweetness in the air around me mingling with chocolate notes. Looking at the note profile I am astonished by how many rose varieties are in this perfume, yet the rose that stands out is the Bulgarian rose. I find Bulgarian roses to have a naturally sweet jamminess to them that is beautifully executed here. That jammy rose also brings to mind other rose fragrances like Stella by Stella McCarthy, Nina Ricci's Rose Extase, and Kirkdijan's Oud Satin Mood. Unlike those, this has a prominent spiciness from the cinnamon and pink pepper that cuts through what might otherwise be an oppressively dense sweetness without them.
While I think this is a well-made fragrance that smells a lot more expensive than what is being asked for a bottle, I already have perfumes that resemble this to a degree. Just the addition of spicier notes is not enough to persuade me to purchase. Besides, since this perfume performs so well with so little needed, this decant that the lovely friend sent me should last some time. But if I didn't have a perfume for times when I am in the mood for a sweet and spicy, syrupy, jammy rose, this would have fit the bill nicely.

Strong ROSE bomb in a beautiful red bottle

After reading some of the comments, I decided to buy this perfume as I love a rose scent.
When I received the perfume I was mesmerized by the beautiful red bottle, but about the scent, I am a little bit disappointed, the opening smell like a synthetic molecule that imitates rose, very intense, I was soon nose blind from it.
After, in the dry-down is much better, but it do not smell like a pure, refined or elegant rose scent, or "jammy" as some people described it.... besides flowers, I do not smell any other note, I guess the rose note is so strong, that over powers other ingredients.
Of course for the price, I was not expecting this perfume to be on the level of other amazing rose fragrances like Nina Ricci's Rose Extase, or Portrait of a Lady from Frederic Malle, but anyway, it smell kind of linear and synthetic, there is a note that disturb me, but I can not say what it is... smell like a very old vintage rose perfume.
But I am still happy I bought it as the bottle is fantastic, so beautiful and well made, it look great and stand out in my collection!
If you are looking for a rose scent, I found a very nice rose perfume, is Dirham wadi from Lattafa, is a very nice, pure and fresh rose, contains also Iris and Orange blossom, and Praline, the performance is good, not great, but for the amazing low price, this is money very well spend!
Also Montale's black aoud intense have a very sophisticated rose note.

exotic rose

I picked this up as a blind buy for the Valentine red bottle and its golden label heart. I am on the fence with this. I loved Casmir and the notes listed drew me in. Alberto Morillas created it and the now lost YSL M7. The introduction of a modernized oud in 2002 is revisited. I wondered about the dark cacao listed. I find it nowhere in this composition. As far as all of the various roses listed, I get a few here and there, nothing like the large bouquet advertised. There is that tart pink berry note that seems to dominate the opening. There is a little violet and orange blossom covered in the syrupy sugar that almost gets out of hand.

If anyone remembers Chopard Madness, it gets a tribute here. Sour pink pepper roses in in hefty red bottle. Overall, there is nothing groundbreaking or original here. If you are looking for a giant bouquet of roses, try elsewhere. It's not worth blind buy of $70. Trendy and comfortable, but this is no breakthrough creation.

Yes, then comes the ever so familiar oud note from M7. Sweet cough syrup that seems woody. This is like a distant flanker that would have been launched by "YSL M7 Rouge". Its overall pleasant, wearable and stays next to the skin until your next shower. I only wish the oud note was listed clearly...

Rose, rose, rose!

Just like one would expect from the listed notes, this is really a very rosy scent. It's sweet and a little jammy, balancing between lightness and depth. This not the fresh and dewy, soapy or powdery kind of rose.

The other notes are supporting actors for the plush red roses.
I can smell patchouli the most, it's there right from the beginning. Later in the drydown I can also smell the sweetness of vanilla and honey and a warm, balsamic background hum. And that's mainly it. This is a very nice scent for rose lovers, but it doesn't offer any special twists. The more unusual notes like cacao and cinnamon get lots in a sea of roses and the other florals don't stand a chance at all.

This reminds me a bit of the Rose Jam products by Lush, but there are a lot of other similar fragrances on the market, too.

It's a likeable scent and a pretty safe bet if you like heavier rose scents, but I don't think it will ever become a Chopard classic like Wish or Cašmir are.

LOVE - the great love disaster

Enthusiastically and unconvincingly, my husband has been trying to gift me and add to my perfume stash for years: completely unsuccessfully.
Every perfume he has ever given me: absolute failure. Is also because he consistently ignores my scent preferences and wants to expand my horizons for the heck of it. I don't like aquatic? Great idea to gift me any perfume with "aqua" in the name. I can't with rose? Bring on the rose perfumes, "INTO THE RIGHT ROSE WILL MY WIFE ALREADY FALL IN LOVE!"
His wife doesn't. On the contrary. After every fragrance that has much to do with (real) roses stopped by my house for a 5-minute visit (open - smell - throw out) over the past few years, I can't even see real roses anymore. Like, as flowers, gift. Total rose ban!
Within the last 12 months alone 7 rose scents. All smelled like: Rose.

Love doesn't just smell like rose, it smells like all the roses in the world. All the varieties from all over the world, all the existing flowers of the rose genus: I swear you can recognize every single one of 452,387,261 roses alive right now! The young, the old, the dark, the light, the quiet, the loud - I can't go on! The scent smells like: Roses. Scent: roses. Sillage: roses. Longevity: the immortal rose.

Did I mention that I don't like roses?
