Contrary unity
CinisLabs is a rather niche label from the USA, whose creations are for me between extraordinarily good and really bad. Most of the perfumes are extreme and so everything is a question of taste. I myself appreciate among others The Black Sheep, others like Leather Rum Geranium are absolutely not my cup of tea. For this it is priced for niche very moderate.
Let's not beat around the bush: Unholy Water affects me from second one like a smoky, but in essence squeaky-clean fragrance water. Contribute on the one hand, the citrus notes, which have a hearty refreshing effect. On the other hand, the beguiling smoke of smoky Nag Champa hangs in the air. This alone provides a curious fragrance.
As if that weren't enough, you have to slightly question the smoky notes. The smoke becomes creamy and is rather light and bright, so not at all unholy. This note is very bold and I understand everyone who calls out worst synthetic or bubblegum here but I guess this is somewhere the scent of Champa flower. Intensely beguiling like tuberose, this one is the focus here. Since the progression is very linear, it stays that way, it becomes minimally smoky more beguiling.
No incense in the foreground, no sinister notes for an olfactory experience. Rarely is a perfume so ambivalent and by the mixture then also so wicked as here. In this respect, unheilig is a broad field. I had expected something completely different but this impresses me. A little less creaminess and I would probably have become weak. Towards the end, the smoky notes are no longer there, what's left is the colorful, dark scent melange. Unholy Water is a fragrance of opposites, diametrically opposed.
