A Kinder Sauvage
At first sniff, I thought Prada Luna Rosa Carbon, not Sauvage. Faris lacks the spiciness and projection of Sauvage. Comparisons to Percival are a stretch to me.

The opening is FIYA. It fills the air but is not offensive. There is an airiness to the scent reminiscent of Kajal Homme II. After a couple of hours the projection is moderate and gentle but it does not go into hiding. 7 hours after applying it, I walked past my wife and she complimented me. I was shocked as her allergies usually compromise her sense of smell.

While I love my sweet bold scents they are harder to reach for lately. I need more lite fragrances that I find interesting but still have a level of longevity and projection I can appreciate. Faris checks these boxes.

While a good daily and leisurely scent, it is perfect for the office. Personally, I will not dress Faris up for formal occasions but it can be done. Doubt I will reach for it in winter but it is in play the rest of the year.

Because the scent DNA is familiar, the price point might make purchasing a full bottle unwise. You may find it redundant if you own Sauvage or Luna Rossa Carbon. I believe it is worth the price of a decant. IMO Faris’ milder less synthetic smell makes it a better daily scent.

Sparkling, Fresh, Citrus Woody scent.
I recently got my hands on "Faris" by Kajal, and it's been quite the aromatic journey.

Right from the package, the scent was so potent I could smell it even before opening. Thankfully, no leaks; just a powerful fragrance. The first spray is akin to slicing into a cool, crisp green apple, creating a fresh and sparkling aroma, with its fresh sparkle enhanced by a twist of orange, bergamot, and lemon for that zesty edge. This vibrant mix is like a fresh breath of nature, with the juniper berry adding a subtle woodiness to the ensemble.

As it settles, it reminds me of Dior Sauvage (probably closest to EDP) but smoother, higher quality, and without the sharpness. Don't worry; it won't trigger the same bad reaction some people have to Sauvage. I'm impressed by its 6-8 hours of longevity and decent projection. The scent itself is incredibly refreshing, making it standout. The bottle's design and quality are top-notch, though I must admit the retail price on Kajal's website is steep. Yet, finding it at a discount on websites like Jomashop (which is what it gets a 9/10 on pricing for) makes it absolutely worth it.

Overall, it's a refreshing, versatile fragrance that I'm happy to say has become my new signature scent, and has earned its place in my collection.

A Fresh Diamond in the Rough
A pleasant burst of citrus upon initial spray immediately uplifted my mood this morning thanks to Kajal Faris. The lavender and juniper berries start to make their appearance shortly after, giving the composition a refreshing sensation. It seems like a typical Sauvage inspired fragrance until you get into the heart and dry down. That is when the MAGIC happens. You get hit with a combination of subtle sweetness, metallic freshness, a slightly floral aroma and a grounding woody amber base creating a unique olfactory experience which still comes off undeniably clean and masculine. Possibly due to the lack of ambroxan the perfume never comes off as synthetic despite its complex nature. It is definitely office safe however I would say that it demands a level of respect that requires you to dress at least business casual. Like Creed Aventus, a hoodie and sweatpants doesn’t quite fit the vibe. Overall, I think that Kajal Faris is a beautiful composition that comes off as strong and unique without being overbearing and off putting. Truly the perfect combination for a signature scent.

dior homme+percival= faris
This is a modern classic & a truly hidden gem in the jungle om perfums. Faris is a scent that deserves more attention!

Ok basicly this is a fresh scent with fizzy bergamott & juicy orange. It reminds me very much about percival in the begining buth then turns dior hommeish. I dont know why but my nose catches up..orris? There is no orris in faris but if i can describe faris it would be the child of percival and dior homme.

Stunning performance!

Great Freshie with Similarity to Luna Rossa Carbon
Another review of this great brand Kajal. This is a new addition from this year that I have been eyeing for a while. I waited some time until it was available at a relatively good price. The regular price of €210 is, in my opinion, a bit overpriced, but you can often find it for about a third less. I think this is a good deal if you like fresh-spicy-woody scents with a hint of shower gel DNA. As my title and many statements suggest, this leans heavily towards the Luna Rossa Carbon direction. A well-known fresh-spicy scent that most people know and many like. Not too close, but if you enjoy this direction and are looking for a bit of variety, you should definitely test this one. I find this one a bit rounder, although the Prada is already really great and worth the money.

The bottle and packaging are, of course, top-notch like all from this brand. The rather simple box has a great design, and the bottle is relatively understated compared to others from this brand thanks to the color combo. The highlight is, of course, the beautiful large cap that is nicely adorned. It looks impressive.
The scent offers a great everyday fragrance that conveys that wonderful shower gel freshness. Shower gel may sound negative at first in this price range, but it isn’t: Here, you feel well-groomed and clean with a fantastic fresh-spicy-woody freshness, a subtle soapy note, and a touch of classic fougère.
The opening is very fresh-fruity, starting with zesty orange and a green apple note. A wonderful gin-like juniper berry is also noticeable. Lavender adds a lovely noble touch and, as mentioned, totally reminds me of Luna Rossa Carbon. Some also bring Percival into play, which isn’t entirely wrong. Those who like these two scents will probably enjoy this fragrance. In the heart note, you find floral-spicy notes. The scent isn’t really floral, but a bit of rose gives it a pleasantly bitter nuance. Coriander offers a nice subtle fresh spiciness. I also perceive a slightly peppery spice in the background. The sandalwood from the base sets in quite early and provides a wonderful woody freshness that lingers throughout. Patchouli is also a part that comes in early, but here it doesn’t become too dark, keeping this fresh creation suitable for daytime wear. Tonka also contributes a lovely pleasant sweetness that doesn’t ruin the freshness. Overall, it is very rounded and hard not to like. A crowd-pleaser, a go-to, and also a no-brainer. For some, it may be too ordinary, but I really enjoy this type of scent. The compliment factor is definitely very high.
Performance is top-notch for a fresh scent of this class, and this brand does a great job in this aspect. Faris lasts around 10 hours, with good sillage for several hours. Not as much as Sauvage EDT, but comparable to Prada in a similar way. Overspraying or spraying a bit more doesn’t have a negative effect.

Overall, a great masculine freshie that is pleasing but still possesses niche quality. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but for me, it’s always a great alternative to wear a wonderful fresh scent that doesn’t clash too much yet remains convincing.

Fresh and aromatic. To me, this is like a spicier PDM Percival but higher quality. Smells amazing and has become a dumb reach for me.

I don't get sauvage, percival, or other modern ambrox heavy frags. I get modernized Dior eau sauvage. Traditional citrus fougere, but new.

These are Percival-like vibes: shower stall 176, swimming pool. Shower gel vibes and flip-flops, towel under the arm. The brand can do better!

Niche version of Dior Sauvage/Luna Rossa Carbon. Amber is subtle, lavender is prominent. Not sharp and has a bit of woody depth. Top!

Reminds me a lot of Prada LR Carbon. Here it's noticeably fresher with a shower gel-like freshness. Quite elegant and easy to like.

Powerful freshness with blue shower gel, lemon-yellow sun, and drying summer wood. Not extraordinary, but well done.
