Let's cook the cotton today!
So, after describing Clean's Fresh Laundry recently, I now come to Warm Cotton, which I think might be a somewhat similar fragrance. First of all, you should know that there seem to be several versions of this fragrance. Namely the "normal" Warm Cotton (as EDT and EDP, where you usually only see the EDT in the shops), as well as a "reserve blend" Edition (produced by sustainable materials), which is or seems to be a different fragrance, because the (so the "reserve blend") in my opinion somehow smelled different than this fragrance here, if I remember correctly.
Be that as it may, and once again I have arrived here with a pure scent. There are among you perfumas and perfumos both filthy sparrows and picky clean pingles, so this fragrance will probably only please the latter group, who like the feeling of clean laundry and generally clean fragrant fragrances :)
Oh yeah,... my cat (I knew I had to mention him again!) LOVES freshly washed stuff. I think he notices when something is clean and pure, so he likes to sleep on fresh bed linen, for example. I also often catch him jumping into the portable laundry baskets when I want to catch up with the freshly washed (but dried after hanging it up) laundry and iron it, for example. Over and over again he jumps into the basket while I'm still ironing and drives me crazy because of all the cat hair sticking to the fresh laundry :D
But as so often, I digress again. So now I finally come to the fragrance!
In addition there is an intensive, underwear-like fragrance. It has something of fresh laundry, but not like Fresh Laundry (also from Clean), but more during the boiling wash, at least the smell reminds me. My mother used to clean kitchen cloths and such things by cooking (I think I had no idea of such things, but that's why the scent is called "warm cotton" :D), and there was always exactly this scent in the air. I don't really like this smell that much, but I could imagine that some of you might like it a lot. For me it is a bit too stuffy and therefore not to compare with the great smell of the "fresh laundry".
The scents of the heart note are also a bit more difficult to detect, I think the best way to smell the orange blossoms is to smell them. And the fragrance becomes a little sweeter, albeit very light.
Only later to the base one recognizes that this sweetness comes above all from the musk. Otherwise it remains with the lingerie/cotton-like scent, which still smells a little dry and therefore a little stuffy. But because of the rising sweetness in the base it smells a bit more like freshly washed laundry at the end, which is now neat and clean (i.e. ironed and folded :D) in the wardrobe (but of course you never have free hangers at hand when you need them)!
In the very late base, where the scent actually no longer radiates but can only be perceived at the sprayed place, it smells more like washing powder and is reminiscent of laundrettes, whereby the stuffness of the scent is at least for the most part gone again.
But the shelf life is surprisingly long, at least on warm days, because the scent lasted almost twelve hours. However, more than half of this time he was quite body-hugging.
Aaalso, first of all: I thought Fresh Laundry was much better. Because Fresh Laundry was also clean, but smelled pleasantly fresher, cleaner, simply more beautiful. With this one I can imagine that the ladies might like it most (at least some of them), because it still has a feeling of clean and clean smelling laundry, but I was disturbed by the fact that this laundry had a smell of boiling laundry. This might seem nice to one or the other, but in the long run the scent became a bit too dry and stuffy for me. And I don't really like the smell of the laundry I'm cooking.
The base also reminded me of detergent, which in turn reminded me that I don't like ironing (after washing I iron a lot... and as I wrote here the other day at Fresh Laundry, HASSE I BÜGELN, MAN!!!! NO EVER!!!! :DD So it's time to finally get more lazy and run crumpled through the area...! ). But in the end the smell of the detergent is quite nice!
Therefore my recommendation: If you like fresh laundry and like to wear clean fragrances in general, then I think you'd better have a look at the Fresh Laundry!
