Clive Christian ohhh Blonde Amber? No AMBERWOOD!!!
How do I start? The best way is with a little back story. I tried to get to grips with the Clive Christian brand and of course ordered a bottle of Blonde Amber, the fragrance on Parfumo that everyone is talking about. It arrived, I tested it and yes, it was good. So the brand made me more curious. The next in line was Hedonistic. When I saw the scent, I thought Bor cool, I have to have it, so I ordered it. When it arrived, it came with a sample of Amberwood and what can I say... I was hooked... When I sprayed it on for the first time, I thought "ok, quite nice" but as interesting as its fragrance brother, nope. But I kept giving it a chance and thank God the tide turned in the drydown. It was just so beautifully elegant, mature and absolutely classy. A few more tests followed and I liked it so much that I just wanted to smell it. So the question from the headline came up again... Blonde Amber or Amberwood? And I tell you quite clearly Amberwood. Of course Blonde Amber is a good fragrance, but I think Amberwood is unfairly overshadowed by its fragrance brother. I would recommend everyone to just test it and then decide which Clive you like more, that's what I did and I have no regrets, on the contrary, I thought it would be the fragrance that everyone would like but no, it's the fragrance that beat its (big) brother for me.

I can say that it's not as mega potent or as space-consuming as some others. But anyone who walks past you will notice it and think to themselves "interesting scent, I wonder what that is" and that's quite enough. I myself perceive it for 6-7 hours and up close even 8 hours or longer, so of course it's not a long-lasting monster, but most Clive fragrances aren't, so that's completely ok.

I don't think I need to say much about the bottle - a 10/10 is as good as it gets, of course the quality speaks for itself.

Is there anything negative? Unfortunately, yes... The prices for Clive are a bit enormous and you shouldn't start with the series straight away if you can have fun elsewhere. But if you've got a bit of money to spare or say I'd like to treat myself to it, go ahead, it's definitely something you should at least have tried out.

So that was my first review, I hope I haven't bored you too much and thank you for your attention. Perhaps I was able to help one or two of you who were faced with the same decision as I was.

Unfortunately, he is unjustly overshadowed by his (successful) brother! / A false picture is and has been painted of you....
Hello everyone,

today I would like to give my opinion on the little dilemma of the Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood.

What exactly do I mean by that?

With the Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood it was suggested here in the statements that it is a 50 years + fragrance and co... ! Let me put it this way, I'm (still) 35 and I love wearing the 1872 for Men , the "Original Collection - X: The Masculine Perfume of the Perfect Pair / X for Men | Clive Christian" , the L for Men , the Noble XXI: Art Deco - Cypress and also the Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood and I've been wearing them for several months and I'll be honest, I've never (!) understood...

Yes, fragrances from CC are more mature, of higher quality and not as pleasing as PDM; MFK, Xerjoff and co. but they certainly don't have to be - the Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood has a certain class, but I would never call it an "oldie" fragrance, because it certainly isn't!
It is woody - spicy and starts freshly pleasant (bergamot and sage) and slowly the freshness decreases and it becomes more woody - slightly spicy and the tonka bean enters the stage very noticeably but it is not very sweet - but hardly sweet and the drydown is the real highlight of the fragrance, the warm and light creaminess is divine! The mix of amber, the tobacco, the tonka bean - a 10 out of 10!
Its problem:

The dark sibling called "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber | Clive Christian" (my review here https://www.parfumo.de/Parfums/Clive_Christian/noble-xxi-art-deco-blonde-amber/rezensionen/305231) and whether the hype about it is justified or not, everyone has to decide for themselves!
I think it's a bit of a shame that 2 really good ones (Noble XX: Art Nouveau - Papyrus + Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood ) are being forgotten because of this and my little favorite Noble XXI: Art Deco - Cypress as well.
Which one is the best for you is of course a matter of opinion. The way I see it, sometimes you get more attention if you swim against the tide instead of being one of many. And I see great potential in the Noble XXI: Art Deco - Amberwood since its release... (a sleeping giant)

Performance:

The better I think is fair... and you can give them an excellent performance boost with, for example, Molecule 01 or Herod or Layton Exclusif or Reflection 45 !

If I really wasn't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
(You can test it once, but buy a bottle.... - if you like it like me then yes)

And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny

Great fragrance at an expensive price
I like the scent very much, it reminds me of Bois D'argent only a little sweeter.

The longevity is better, but I don't know if it justifies the price of 550/50.

I think I will leave it at my 2ml sample.

However, it gives me a good feeling when I wear it and if it cost around €200, I would buy it as an office fragrance and replace Bois D'argent accordingly, as I can no longer smell it directly on my skin after almost 2 hours, or only minimally.

This problem is solved by Amberwood and the interplay of tobacco, tonka bean and amber warms the heart.

Output stage
What an admittedly expensive masterpiece has been conjured up here...
You have to be a bit in the perfume game to appreciate this fragrance. It is a woody-ambery fragrance with a light, subliminal freshness. It can be worn all around, so it is totally universal, even at work it should be absolutely suitable in moderate doses. The fragrance is probably not suitable for young people (also in terms of budget), you should at least be an adult.

About the course:
It starts with a cardamom-sage blend that is so well interwoven that the price becomes understandable. It retains this spiciness, although some tonka bean is added later on, giving it a certain "sexiness". Sweet but never too much and perfectly balanced with the rest.
The bottle is also top notch in terms of design and feel.

Conclusion: The current hype surrounding the brand is probably real.

Smells woody, mildly spicy from the tobacco. There is a creamy sweetness here that reminds me of Kilian's Intoxicated. Performance is meh.
