Floral Scent with Tea

Today I'm not sitting in Mühlheim,… hm, wait, I'm sure no one knows that. It's behind Offenbach am Main,… wait… no one knows that either… let's just say it's somewhere near Frankfurt am Main, I'm sure everyone knows that! So today I'm not in Mühlheim as usual, but in Forstinning, which is about one to one and a half hours by car from Austria, and I'm sure no one knows that either (I mean, no one knows Forstinning, but some of you have probably heard of Austria :DD).

Well, I'm sitting in this little town, from the window of which you can see just two other houses and a single, lonely street (it's unbelievable that I have internet here!! :D) and I can smell how my brother's girlfriend is brewing tea in her new teapot. So I think to myself, "Hey, I could fittingly present a tea scent again!"

And so today I'm introducing a fragrance from Commodity that I tested during the traveling package. I must admit that I saved this scent until the very end because it had the simple, but for me, naturally pleasant name "Tea." And I don't need to explain far and wide how much I love tea scents, do I? :D

Of course, this scent happens to be a women's fragrance. While most of Commodity's scents are unisex, this tea scent is specifically labeled as a women's fragrance (and it does smell like a true women's fragrance due to the roses and other floral and sweet notes)… *sigh*

**The Scent:**
At first, I smell pure honey. Then this sweet note mixes with the basil, so it smells like you're sucking or chewing on those herbal candies with honey in them.
Then, a little later, the Oolong tea makes its presence known, but unfortunately, it is very weak and almost only hinted at, so you can only really perceive it at the sprayed spot.
The honey slowly recedes, the basil also becomes weaker, and the scent becomes more floral with the slightly sour-smelling roses. Over time, you can smell the tea a little better, but still not as intensely as one might wish.
Tobacco, hmm…. I admit, if I hadn't seen it in the fragrance pyramid, I probably wouldn't have noticed it at all, as it is only hinted at. But if you sniff around for it specifically, you will actually find it and can perceive the slightly bitter scent very faintly,… or at least you think you perceive this note, it’s probably a bit psychological, depending on whether you know that tobacco is supposed to be in there or not :D
Lastly, in the base, there are some soft, light woods. Otherwise, it remains floral with light tea notes (which, fortunately, at least smell a little more intense now). A very nice scent.

**The Sillage and Longevity:**
The projection is quite okay and not as mediocre as one might suspect due to the tea (well, tea scents are usually quite weak). For a little while, it is well perceivable before it gradually becomes weaker.
The longevity is also really good, so the scent lasts seven or eight hours without becoming too close to the body over time.

**The Bottle:**
The almost sterile-looking bottle is cylindrical and has a large white label on the front, where the name of the fragrance is written in bronze. The cylindrical cap is also white, which enhances the simple and sterile impression of the bottle. It's okay, but as I said, it's a bit too simple for me.

"Tea" is a fragrance that delicately and softly smells of flowers, and of course a little of tea. Unfortunately, I find the tea scent not particularly strong, and I would have wished it to be significantly stronger, but that doesn't mean it can't be perceived. Because despite the rather low intensity (especially at the beginning), the tea gives the floral notes a certain something, making the scent simply smell beautiful. Tea fans should definitely check this one out. I think "Tea" can be worn well during the day, both in leisure and at work. Aside from the fact that it won't disturb anyone, I even think it could be well received by others.

Well… as mentioned at the beginning, it annoys me a bit that the scent smells too feminine and therefore has naturally become a women's fragrance *grumble*
I hope to discover new tea scents again that are at least unisex :D
Although I am currently very satisfied with my tea scents like Jade Leaf Tea by Jo Malone, Lothair by Penhaligon’s, or Gucci pour Homme II, and I would also recommend these scents to tea fans. You can see more tea scents that I love in my tea scent collection, if you're interested :)

…ah, by the way, Elizabeth Arden also has a new tea scent, a Green Tea scent, which also has figs, which are also among my favorite fragrance notes and… and this scent is again only for you ladies, as I just see…. I can't take it anymore…. aaaaaaahhhhhh!!!! *sigh* :(((((
Still, I will test that one too :)))

So then… greetings from Forstinning (where it seems to be twice as cold as in other parts of Germany!!) and have a nice evening everyone!

Yes, I know Mühlheim. I lived in Frankfurt for a while and had a colleague from Mühlheim. *g* I’m not familiar with the scent, but it sounds interesting enough to add to my wishlist.

Is this already an inner compulsion to write comments while traveling?
