Bonjour, Paris!
I want to see the den of thinking men like Jean-Paul Sartre.
I must philosophise with all the guys around Montparnasse and Montmartre.
I'm strictly a tourist, but I couldn't care less.
When they parlez-vous me then I gotta confess.
That's for me: Bonjour, Paris!
Wonderful, this film "Funny Face" with Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire, and Kay Thompson. The songs come from George and Ira Gershwin and wonderfully reflect the pulsating fashion city of Paris in the 50s. This film immediately came to my mind when I tested Coty's Paris. The film, which captures the transformation of a small bookseller into a sought-after model, or from a sweet little girl to an elegant young woman, is encapsulated in this floral, sweet, elegant yet vibrant fragrance.
With its rather loud and intense opening, Paris gives me the feeling of swimming in a sea of flowers for over an hour. All the flowers of Paris seem to be captured here at once.
But the longer I wear the fragrance, it becomes finer, more elegant, greener - almost ladylike mature. I see myself strolling along the boulevards of Paris, passing cafés and shop windows, accompanied by this feminine scent. It is summer, but not too hot, just right for an ice cream on the go.
As evening falls, the fragrance has also reached its dry, slightly sweet base, with a hint of an animalistic note. It’s time for a light dinner with a nice red wine right by the Seine.
In this fragrance, the scent of an entire city is captured, and all that’s left for me is a greeting: Bonsoir, Paris!
