The invasion begins...
I often receive fragrances as gifts that I would never buy for myself. My collection consists of many teeny scents that I get from my patients, who think I’m 14. Still, I always feel like an egg about it :-)!
I received this one as a gift too.
On my skin, this scent starts off very powdery, it takes my breath away for a few seconds.
However, the woody, sweet feminine notes quickly join in and create a nice blend. Something light, not overly sweet, comes in; I describe it as sweetener in light.
It’s quite close to Alien..
It doesn’t smell as intense as the extraterrestrial, so it’s like an EDT, suitable for not-too-hot summer days.
It’s definitely a lot “fresher,” if I can say that, and certainly more everyday-friendly than the original. Unfortunately, it only lasts on my skin for 1-2 hours; well, at the price of (I think) about €13.00 for 100ml EDP, I don’t expect a bombastic flytrap. I’m happy to spray more.
To put it bluntly, the original is not very cheap at nearly €65.00 for 30ml. But well, quality has its price; you have to endure that for the burning hot love.
Sometimes it hurts a little to “waste” the beloved or hated Alien for everyday use.
I will keep it, just like I keep all gifts. I will use it rarely, as I prefer loud and intense scents like the original. But for a short day when you’ve jumped out of bed with your tailbone, it’s certainly not a bad choice!
A good alternative for slightly warmer days, for ladies who enjoy gourmand scents--? overlook the pride and just give it a try :-)
