Cotton Ball and Pin Cushion

IT SEEMS to be a particularly tender and cuddly fragrance, this Aberdeen Lavender. The impression is unavoidable. Delicate citrus and rosemary breezes seem to waft around the nose. Once. And then again and again. Like a soft, fluffy ball.
But wait! In between, there is something to pay attention to. After some wear time, you encounter something that was not to be expected. Hidden within the silk-covered cotton ball are some pins. The heads are so deep inside that they cannot be guessed from the outside. Only when you press down a bit harder do you notice the sharp ends. A quick "Ouch!"... then caution!
This seems to characterize this beautiful fragrance. The lily and the tuberose are those little needles that are hidden in the soft cushion. Every now and then, a small prick. But as soon as you let go again (thanks to the lavender and the earthy soft patchouli), everything is soft and cuddly once more. Until the vetiver makes its entrance. The rough blades of the sweet grass provide very fine stings again. As if you were almost invisibly edging a hem with a long hair.
And yet the fragrance is a fine one, sometimes cooler, sometimes warmer. And a delicate one... but speckled with those very needles!
