That the masters of Lightness can release a heavy, oriental blockbuster is hard to imagine, and Aberdeen Lavender has not become that either. But still, it is significantly denser, richer, and heavier than the average of the brand. Without a doubt, it is a lavender scent - with a very cool oriental twist.

AL starts deliciously, yet still somewhat old-fashioned: perfectly balanced lavender - green, purple, viscous, fine, slightly menthol/alcoholic like absinthe, not stinky. Then it takes a journey, gradually moving more and more towards modernity and the Orient. The scent does not become edible or overly sweet, and the lavender remains the backbone of the fragrance. However, a lot happens over the course of 5-6 hours. It simply becomes more beautiful, blossoms. I have less and less idea of when I would wear it and how I would categorize it - but its beauty still lingers. This twist is mainly thanks to the patchouli, the leather, and the green vetiver grass, which skillfully maintains the connection to the lavender.
