Addicted from the first smell
Today I tried this in a store for the first time after a friend recommended it - and I was hooked instantly.

It’s actually the first Creed I’ve ever bought. I’ve always stayed away because of their reputation for weak performance, but this one surprised me.

Performance here is quite impressive for a Creed. But honestly, the scent itself is the real highlight.

For me, it’s a fresh, slightly floral fragrance with a noticeable blackcurrant presence that gives it a unique twist. As it dries down, the green vetiver becomes more dominant and gives it a clean, slightly earthy edge.

It feels smooth, natural, and very easy to wear.

A very addictive summer scent that works well for both men and women.

Vetiver? What vetiver?
Wild Vetiver smells like B&BW made a hand soap version of Delina Eau de Parfum. Slight bit of fruits and citruses in the opening give way to a green, light rose scent with smooth sandalwood-esque woods backing it. There's a soapy component as well that's a bit hard to describe. But vetiver? Completely absent. It's not like it's an expensive material like agarwood or something, you can literally just put vetiver essential oil in your composition and have it smell like vetiver. Who is this made for? Is there a subset of people who like the idea of vetiver but don't actually like the scent? Maybe it's for men with low self-esteem who won't buy a fragrance if it has the word "rose" in its name, like L'Homme À la Rose. Speaking of that one, it does the fresh soapy rose thing a whole lot better than Wild "Vetiver," so I'd suggest you try that before pulling the trigger on this.

What if I could skip the pink tax… and still enjoy my girly rose perfume?
Right away it opens very fresh and citrusy with bergamot and pink pepper - bright, energetic, really uplifting. Then the rose appears, and it’s very tender, fresh, and youthful. Not heavy, not powdery - more like a romantic garden rose. There’s also this little invigorating fruitiness from blackcurrant bud that makes the whole thing feel lively.

It’s not revolutionary. It actually reminds me quite a bit of Eladaria , and very distantly Delina Eau de Parfum , but with a cleaner structure.

In the base you get vetiver, and woods, they keep everything fresh and slightly dry.

One thing that surprised me - this release comes in a 100ml bottle, which Creed usually reserves for their more masculine scents. But I am all up for it!

Credit where it’s due.
I got sent a free sample by Creed prior to its release. I have to admit I didn’t really fancy it for some reason and once I’d sprayed a bit on the back of my hand I somewhat dismissed it for a couple of weeks.
Around the time it was widely released I sprayed it a couple more times and wore it once.

I don’t know why but I did not really get into it and having done a statement I just left the sample in my wardrobe where I keep all my bottles.

Anyway, I saw the sample card and little bottle sitting there the other day and suddenly I was curious. I think it is maybe something to do with the weather slowly warming up or that I have been looking at Orage and Sur la Route one of both of which have vetiver in them. Something clean and fresh for spring but can be an option for summer and autumn weather permitting.

Spraying Wild Vetiver again I was really surprised how good it is. More than I recalled 4/5 weeks ago.

On first spray the rose is very much the main accord. The rose is sweet, I can almost feel the thickness of the petal. There is a brief chocolate just beneath, it’s really inviting. The rose never strays into grandma territory.

The rose slowly becomes less prominent allowing the vetiver to peak through more often. I said in my statement and I’ll say it again. The vetiver is fairly dry. This stays well away from shower gel type scents.

Every time I bring my wrist to my nose I get either 60% rose 40% vetiver or it can be 55% vetiver 45% rose. I had a good number of sprays around my neck. It didn’t project that much but I did stay indoors.
I’d say the fragrance lasted a good seven hours which I think is perfect.

What I really like about this one is that Nicholas Bonneville has created something that can be casual, for work or even a wedding. The fragrance has that ‘put together’ feel about it. It feels clean and smart.
If the LV scents disappoint then Wild Vetiver is a worth a look especially if you can get 15/20% off.

I do recommend you get sample or spray in store if there is any retailer near you.

Vetiver or Rosy scent
I would say its an excellent scent. One of the best out there.. the lonegvity is amazing.. its an elegant one.. for me, it felt it was liking towards rosy scent profile , but amazing.. fresh and you can rock it anywhere with your eyes closed..
The bottle looks fancy, what i like is that people actually asked me, what are you wearing.. easily one of the best compliment getter out there.

Nice balanced fresh opening, but the rose eventually becomes prominent and overpowering.

Sweet rose opens. Dry vetiver develops not shower gel like at all to me. Clean fresh dry green. It’s Very nice. Can be dressed up or casual.

Not wild, and not a vetiver. (It’s rose and blackcurrant.) About as unremarkable as it gets.

Vetiver where? I detect mostly citrus-rose-currant jam on a synthetic base, pretty nice, but that's all. No vetiver at all.

Soooo... What can you say about the latest Creed release?
Personally, I think that vetiver is only in the name there, for me it's a fragrance about a blackcurrant, citrus, and rose jam on a synthetic amber base. But…
